We’ve been staying at this hotel since it opened in late 90s. When it was newer, it was an Okay place to stay in this small town. Lately, it started to show its age and lack of attention to maintaining it shows more and more clearly. While the hotel bathrooms have been remodeled and are really nice, the rooms have not been touched since it opened. Carpet and beds are dated and dirty. A small fridge in the room makes noise. Worst of all was the heater that makes a loud clicking noise when it turns on, followed by a hum while it is working. We had two rooms this visit and both rooms had this problem. I’m not a light sleeper, but had a problem falling asleep with all this noise and woke up once in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep because of this.
The bedding is also horrendous; pillows are like inflated balloons want to throw your head off onto the floor. The sheets have signs of wear and have spots. The synthetic blanket sends electrostatic sparks flying every time you move.
After staying there for the last 15 years almost every time we’ve gone skiing in Sunrise, we’ve decided to make this most recent stay our last.
