Avoid the Medicine Hat Lodge. The entire interior is dated, the waterslide looks like a health hazard, and to top it off the rates were far too expensive for what you received. For a business that is attempting to place an air of class and quality on their accomodations, this is pretty unacceptable. On a more positive note, the conference and ball rooms they rent out for events are consistently lovely, with great catering from the highest-end of the three in-house restaurants.
If you're renting a hall for receptions, you cannot go wrong. However, for lodgings you can do much better.
