I have stayed at Planet Hollywood twice now, and will say it has it's pros and it's cons. A pro is it's location: central on the strip, walking distance to most locations on Las Vegas Blvd. that you would want to go. However, the point of staying in the middle of the strip is mostly to stay there because you are in the nicest part near the Bellagio, Cosmo and Aria. The Miracle Mile (attached to Planet Hollywood) has good shops and average lower end restaurants. I wouldn't recommend spending too much time there. It's attached to a free parking structure, which is nice. The lobby area is very underwhelming and the casino is pretty average for the Vegas strip, nothing super noteworthy about it though. The room was comfortable and the beds/pillows were nice. The bathroom was the best part: large white tile bathroom with a good shower, separate large bathtub and two separate sink areas. Plenty of room to get ready comfortably and had great lighting. Not a great view out the window and not the greatest pool on the strip by any means. If you are going to Vegas and want a good location for a decent price and don't intend to use your hotel as the main form of entertainment, Planet Hollywood may be for you!
