I was invited to this club for my girlfriends work appreciation party, and apparently they book this place for bottle service regularly, and they also do some promoting with the club, however I was not expecting to be physically assaulted by security. I will be the first to admit that I was intoxicated, but when you provide unregulated alcoholic beverages to a large group, I would think this would be something they were used too, and would handle the situation better. I had one to many drinks and had to vomit, and I made my way to the bathrooms. After 30 seconds in the stall, a security member burst through the door, and tells me I have to leave immediately. I politely asked for one second to clean myself up, and to wipe up the toilet seat, and told him I would leave without issue, but that I needed to inform my girlfriend that I was being escorted out. He was very rude and insisted that I go right away, and proceeded to push me aggressively in the back to try and remove me. I once again informed him that I just had to tell my girlfriend that I was leaving, and that I wasn’t trying to cause any incident. At this point another security member stepped in and was more amiable to helping me with the situation, as I looked around our parties area for my girlfriend or any of her work friends that I knew so I could inform them. However, the first security guard continued to repeatedly push me in the back and say that I had to leave. At this point I turned to him and said if he continues to touch me we will have a problem. He proceeded to grab me by the shoulders, to which I reacted in kind. He punched me in the mouth and used a single leg sweep to toss me to the ground. I grabbed his shirt as I went to the ground and held onto him, and while on the ground continued to state my intentions to leave without incident if I would just be treated reasonably. I got up and left out the front entrance, where another security guard, who claimed to be the manager stepped in and heard my complaints. He assisted me in finding my girlfriends party and she met me outside and we left. If the guard who started this situation with his aggressive and antagonistic behaviour had just shown the deescalation skills and respectful attitude the last bouncer had shown, perhaps there wouldn’t be so many complaints about this club. Definitely won’t be coming back, and based on my injuries, should pursue legal action. Definitely hope that her company finds a new place for their staff events, I know we will strongly advise them against returning here in the future.
