My wife and I ate at La Taverna for the first time on Saturday when we were just craving Italian food and didn't want to drive very far, and wanted something new. Usually I'd head to East Side Marios, but I wanted something a little different and a little better. I was not disappointed. We ordered the Lobster Cakes and Spaghetti Carbonara. Everything was excellent and cooked to perfection. Our waiter might have been a tad on the inattentive side, but we were having fun just sitting and talking so it was no problem. The food was so amazing I was able to overlook the waiter not coming over very often. The one thing that was a little disappointing was an Italian cocktail named "Il Ugo" that they sell. I thought it was something they crafted there, but instead it came out of a bottle and poured like a sparkling wine. It was really sweet and my wife didn't really enjoy it. I think they should scrap it. But maybe it's very popular and I have no idea what I'm talking about. Oops. Anyway, it's a bit on the expensive side so I don't think we'll go very often, but it is definitely a place to try out! Mange Mange!
