I toured the Golden Nugget and it has a much more unique atmosphere than the main Vegas strip if you're looking for something different for a change and is well worth it! If you ever get tired of the main Vegas strip hassles but still have the Vegas urge, I would recommend staying at the Golden Nugget! The resort is well decorated, has really good nightclub, and a unique change of atmosphere compared to the resorts on the main Vegas strip where you have to walk a distances to everything. At the old Vegas strip, the atmosphere is uniquely different but good too. You can also walk everywhere within a reasonable distance. The pool is pretty exciting, has pool slides, and plenty of shaded areas too. I think the pool is also great for the kids, as a matter of fact, this is the best resort to take your kids too because of the pool at this resort!
