The Sleep Inn in Cross Lanes got an authorization from my card for the entire amount of my stay. Then, while I slept, they also took separate authorizations for each night of the same stay, resulting in double-billing me $811 and overdrawing my form of payment. They claimed to not even be able to see the $811 charge on their computer. For my trouble, they offered me cookies, but never offered to discount my stay even a cent. If you enjoy traveling without the use of your card for a couple of days, I highly recommend this hotel. If not, then I'd avoid.
[Reply to owner's response] While you are correct, it's incredible that you'd try to throw this back on me. At various points over the weekend, you offered me a box of cookies and crackers, an unspecified gift card to cover a meal, and the opportunity for me to take an unknown amount of time off of work on MONDAY to have a conference call with my card issuer to accomplish an uncertain result. As far as I know, that is all you ever offered, and I declined it all because it would not have fixed *the problem*: my being 1,200 miles from home with an overdrawn card for an entire weekend, something I was only able to mitigate through my own efforts. Try to be objective and put yourself in my shoes: Do you honestly think that what you offered made up for the problem you created?
