Royal's Liberty of the Sea
The ship was absolutely beautiful, elegant and luxuriously decorated. Lots of seating areas all with different types of furnishings to fit everyone's needs. The Italian restaurant Giovoni's was phenomenal and the wait staff there were too! The Windjammer buffet was also incredible. We were in a balcony room and the actual balcony and chairs were excellent. The promenade area was very diverse and exciting and the ice skating rink was cool! Some things that we did not like were the extremely small bathrooms in the cabins. Also the towels were "dollar store" type, not very soft or big. The closets were OK but not my favorite configuration. The room had a connecting door so there was only a chair and not a couch which was disappointing. The Guest Services desk was large, but had long lines and no provisions for priority guests. There were also no provisions for priority guests on the tendor or debarkation....things we are used to on the other lines. The steakhouse was a disappointment especially compared to the other less expensive and/or free food places. The casino was small and had mostly older machines which was a huge disappointment. The casino hosts and staff were not sociable and never approached me to say hello or anything. No perks were given to me from the hosts even though I racked up over 4800 points for a free balcony room. Again, not what I'm used to with the other cruise lines. I did enjoy the non-smoking section of the casino but since the casino was not really busy most of the time the smoke was not bad. All in all we had a great time, and will go back again.
