I've stayed here multiple times, most recently though was a bit of a hassle. After paying for my room online, and calling to confirm I could use my debit card, we showed up to get a room. We were told that no, we couldn't use the debit card. I asked if we could pay a cash deposit instead, even though there was more than enough on the card, and they initially said no. We couldn't get a refund for the room, though, so I was determined to make something work. After finally getting the manager to agree to allow us to do a cash deposit, I wanted something in writing saying I would get the deposit back upon checkout. Reluctantly, they gave that to me. (After many eye rolls and statements like 'we're not going to keep your money.' Very condescending tones from every employee involved.)
The room was okay. Nothing spectacular, but a good deal for what you get. The room was clean, and cute. Comfortable bed. DIdn't have a problem with the noise from around town, either.
Upon checkout, I was told 'sorry' and that I could not get my $200 back because I should not have been given a room because my name had a letter off from the name that had booked the room. Um what? After presenting the paperwork and signature from a manager I'd worked so hard to get, confirming I would be given my deposit back... it took about an hour before they reluctantly gave me my money back. Glad I at least got that in writing.
The restaurants are good. the drink specials are good. But as far as service goes at this place? Will definitely not be back.
