Marketplace

It's a good place to get inexpensive souvenirs. You do have room for negotiations but just know that they really want your business and are vocal about it, the second you step foot inside. I got a nice towel and hat though. 😁

Some pretty good prices on handmade and local souvenirs. A lot of the stall owners are pushy, bit most will make a deal off the original price. More you buy from one shop, the better the deal. I enjoyed the side alley where there were a lot of hand made wood products. Tip: don't take the bracelets people are offering for free, they will then demand a small donation of $25 after they put it on your wrist for "children", it's a scam. I gave mine back, dropped their request to $5, didn't take it.

Lots a good stuff here and they are willing to work a deal. The sellers told me that they don't see much traffic from the people on the ships or cruises, which is sad. They are missing out. The sellers are aggressive and are looking to sell which can be somewhat overwhelming especially if you just want to look. I got some bags, necklaces, a swim cover-up (or scarf), and some marble turtles.

Marketplace

A unique place. Vendors are aggressive. But most of their wares are nice. While there's plenty of items that are normal souvenirs made in China, a few of the vendors display their craft in the marketplace. These people are very creative and fun to watch!

Interesting place to go... Many merchants and it beats the gift store. We met a wood carver named Larry who we watched as he created his products in front of us and told stories. If you want a souvenir, this place is a good place to go for legitimate local products.

Great place and the restaurants around this area are endless. There is lots of cool souvenirs and merchandise to buy, cheap prices as well (most can be talked down to lower prices even). They did bug me a little though asking me to come buy stuff from them, so it was interrupted shopping at times.

Typical cruise ship bartering for bobbles locations but my family really enjoyed it. I think it is worth perusing if you don’t mind the hard sail. Everyone was very friendly but it can be a bit pushy. Good deals can be had if you are willing to haggle.

Great place to shop while visiting Nassau! Beautiful people here who proudly show their wares. They work very hard to hand craft their items & and having the artists all in one place is convenient. Busy as expected. Be ready with cash on hand--small bills, water, and an open mind.

I was very excited to come here but was let down. Everybody has the same things that are supposedly hand made and unique but instantly I saw tags on items from China and such. There are hand made items such as bags and wood carvings but most is not. Did manage to find a couple things but couldn't hardly even look at stuff without them trying to grab you and hand you stuff to hold and calling you pretty/handsome to get you to look at their non unique items. Right around the corner they jacked up the price for the exact same item so make sure you barter and offer less. We got a 30$ hat for 15$ Wont go back.

Maybe worth a walk through if you are already downtown. They will try to sell you everything and that's fine, it's their livelihood. What we didnt like about it was that it's 40 rows of the same thing. We expected some variety but it is literally the same thing at every stand. I think they could make it into something if they would diversify and all try to sell different goods.
