Overview

When traveling I-80 take exit 176 and stop at the historic Model T Casino, Winnemucca Nevada hotel. Many years ago the Model T was a Ford dealership which probably accounts for the name! The town itself has evolved from a campground worksite in early 1830 to the historic, vibrant town you see today. The Model T occupies prime real estate center strip in Winnemucca and is conveniently located with I-80 access. The charming Main Street façade transports you back in time, but that’s where the nostalgia ends! They provide a value driven experience for guests by offering the newest slot machines, promotions, point multipliers, drawings, comps, and cash back in town.

One of the best budget hotel options in Winnemucca; we've stayed here multiple times. Interesting room layout- the sink is actually located outside (but near) the bathroom, visible from the beds. This comes in really handy when you need to get ready for bed but you don't want to deal with the Taco Bell aftermath your spouse is currently pressing "eject" on. The beds are comfortable for the hotel class, the rooms are sufficiently quiet (there's a large steel door separating them from the casino floor), and the housekeeping keeps the whole place tidy. The included breakfast options are limited but sufficient, and served decently fast considering you have to go to an on-site, sit-down restaurant. Our customer service experience was incredible here, especially in contrast to another hotel we've stayed at in the area. In particular, I'd like to recognize William, the front desk supervisor, for being incredibly helpful and kind during a booking accident (not the hotel's fault) which occurred. Give that man a raise! (Long story short: if you use a third-party booking site, check with the hotel to make sure the third party pushed it through to the hotel.) Overall, this is a great, budget-friendly option if you're traveling through the area. Highly recommended!

Staff was great in every interaction, even though I had a 3 year old acting out at the end of a long road trip. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Free breakfast was delicious, as was dinner in their restaurant the night before. The only downside was having to go through the casino (which said three year old was sure was an arcade) with the kids to get to the restaurant. Even if we walked all the way around the building in the rain, it's just a shorter walk through the casino from the outside.

Fun time there. We stayed in the RV area. Hook-ups were interesting. A few spots are full time renters. Food was delicious and service was fantastic! I did WIN some $$$. We would go and stay again, but, not for any length of time.

Hotel was overbooked, not usually a big deal except after saying they'd bring a roll-away, they "ran out." Checking in adjacent to a smoke filled casino was not pleasant either. Service at the front desk didn't seem too apologetic about any of this.
