Generally very good. Their steaks are great. They have some trouble with inconsistencies in the cooking of their seafood. Sometimes we go there and it's expertly cooked- other times the seafood is so poorly cooked. But still, I love this place. It's really delicious and generally speaking the service is great.

Nice small cozy place. I'm rating 3 stars because even though food was tasty, the price you are paying is not only for that, it's also service and ambience. Service can definitely improve. We waited at least 15-20 minutes until waitress talked to us. Although the maitre was attentive asking if we have been asked for a drink and he was able to deliver that to us. Another thing is, they promote a free bottle of wine if getting two entrees during the evening (5-9). We didn't know what time the restaurant closed, and when asking they say 9pm. I don't think you should accept people after 8:30 if you are going to rush your customers to leave, hence not promoting a deal until that time. Overall good, but not worth what you are paying for.

Kyle the bartender...we sat at the bar...he's AWESOME. Found a new wine - Molly Dooker. Enjoyed a FABULOUS dinner. Which left room for an EXCELLENT dessert. Relaxing vibe. Outstanding service. Delicious food. You don't need Iowa City....just come to a Riverside Iowa!

Wonderful experience. The staff at Ruthie's is extremely knowledgeable in terms of wine, food and cocktail recommendations. The cocktails are incredible! If you get the chance to try the Ruby Red Fresca or their margarita I would definitely recommend it. Food was amazing and so was the atmosphere! I will definitely be back.

For Ruthie's Steakhouse: To start, we waited 20 minutes for a drink to be delivered to our table. Our food took a very long time to prepare and they were not extremely busy, there were a few tables open. Manager stood around while our drinks were waiting on the bar top. Finally got our food brought to us by the manager- it was incorrect- she just looked at us after I said "I ordered lamb not steak" and then walked away without saying a word. We waited another 15-20 minutes. My boyfriend's steak came back completely rare- my lamb was cooked perfectly however. While he sent his food away, I took a bite of my broccolini and found a massive hair in it. Disgusting. Will not be returning.
