Boomtown Buffet Restaurant

Went to the steakhouse. The steak was over cooked, the sides where not hot and the service was slow. The server was nice but she was overwhelmed because she was the only server in the whole place. No hostess to seat us. The nice bartender seated us. The people working there where friendly but the food was sub par. I sent my contact info but no one contacted me.

This a locals casino. This means that it’s mostly locals that come and play here. It’s one of the few, if not the only, traditional barge casinos. It’s nice and plenty of table games that aren’t always crowded and have Lower minimums. There is drink service and a small food court. Great slots, too.

Delicious food. The seafood is cooked perfectly! My husband said the same about the steak. In my experience the gumbo wasn't good, I can't believe they can't make a delicious seafood gumbo. The wait staff were truly nice and helpful. Great for the kids too... pizza, meatballs, salad bar, desserts. I think the Hollywood in the Bay might have a bigger buffet, but I haven't been there in a while. I think the restaurant should be bigger and more accommodating and center around the food, but even with that we all left fat and happy! 😊

Good food, good service! They now just give you a couple of crablegs at a time and you have to keep going back for more each time you want them again. I feel like this is to keep people from wasting so much seafood. I don't have a problem with it because to many people waste food then it causes the price of the plates to go up for everyone else. They have increased the price of the all you can eat prices on the plates. I can understand why when you see how much people waste and leave on their plate. Them the price of waste gets passed on to the consumer.

Boomtown Casino has a very unique, rustic appearance inside and out. The building looks like an old western facade complete with huge signage and marquee lights. Inside you will find much more then games as they have many old western displays and interesting items like antique slot machines. Game machines are a decent mix with a good amount of them being older. Great member promos for joining !!

Food was pretty good for a casino buffet. Bigger variety of food than most, and the quality was better than most. Although there is plenty to go around, they don’t put out a huge quantity of each item. That’s not a negative thing, because the smaller quantities mean fresher food. I would definitely go back again. The wait staff and cashiers were incredibly friendly and were very attentive. I was impressed. The place was very clean as well, always a good thing.

Highly disappointed at the quality of food that is served. The crab was revolting, it smelled like ammonia as if it was bad/old. Couldn't bring myself to get past the smell to take a bite. I gave the restaurant the benefit-of-the-doubt and thought it was just a bad crab, and to my surprise all the crab had the same smell and taste. Waste of money! You can get fresh crab somewhere else for the price. For goodness sake, Biloxi is right on the ocean, there is no reason it shouldn't be fresh.

Had a great time. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Grill food was good. I liked the person who came to you and wanted to know if you wanted something to drink (free) and they bring the drinks to you where you are. I LOVE BOOMTOWN CASINO!

Use to be the best buffet and crab legs, but now you get 2 clusters and have to stand in line 10 minutes too get 2 more clusters. It's not worth the aggravation or the money. Other casinos have better service. Never going back.

This is an old school casino. It is reminiscent of a downtown Vegas casino. A little bit smokier than the other casinos in the Biloxi area. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Cocktail service was quick. The best part was the table minimums. Most blackjack tables were $3-$5 minimums. I was able to play for a few hours and leave with more than I sat down with. Slots seemed pretty decent; my wife won over $100.00 while playing slots there.

Great seafood buffet. There was a very good selection of foods and this was much better than other casino buffets I have been to. The lines for the crab legs and the entry queue were ridiculously long but in the end still worth as the food was great. The food was constantly being brought out so everything was hot and fresh. Service was as wxpected for a busy buffet but they kept my sweet tea filled so I was happy with it.

Used to be a great place to eat. Staff is great. We drove 2 1/2 hours to get 2 small crab legs at a time. Very stingy! Took longer to stand in line to get 2 little crab legs than it did to eat them!! Will go and eat crab legs at a different restaurant next time! Pitiful pitiful!

Fun atmosphere, great slots, fun promotions, yummy food and buffet and I feel very safe here. The only thing, if you park across the street, pedestrian does not have the right of way. Drivers will not stop.

At the price of free 99, you usually walk in not expecting much, but the Crazy Crab buffet was pretty darn good. The crab legs and crawfish were in great supply. Also the cream puffs and other deserts were tasty. Overall a good dinner.

We always enjoyed playing at Boomtown. We don't live close so only get there maybe twice a year. We went the last week of January and will NEVER go back. I have no idea who redesigned the casino, but they need to erase the plans and start over. Whoever thought that making the upstairs "non-smoking" never considered the smoke from downstairs would go upstairs via the openings for the escalators!!!!! The upstairs is a complete disaster now. There are next to no machines anymore. The nice little snack bar is gone, as is the regular bar. They would have been better off leaving the place as it was. A complete disappointment!!!!!

Dirty. Poorly prepared food. Like eating leftovers. Crabs were rubbery. Not 1 refill on tea. have to traverse entire casino to get to elevator/escalators for food. Way overpriced.

Went to the Buffet on Thanksgiving day and it was our 10 year wedding anniversary. We use to frequent the buffet prior to Katrina, this was our first time back. But things have changed since we were there last. The food at the buffet was great like usual but,- the smoked filled room from the casino made it almost unbearable experience to sit there and eat. It is gross to sit there and try to enjoy a very expensive meal and all you can smell is smoke from the casino. Please boomtown- you have one of the best buffet's on the coast please, please put up some kind of barrier between the casino and the buffet entrance. There is nothing worse then smelling smoke while you are trying to eat dinner. Yuck Also it seems that there is not much ventilation in that casino because the smoke was so think, it make it hard to breath. On another note- I noted a lot of the wait staff, mostly women, had very dirty and slopped shirts. The tan shirts really show the dirt I would try darker shirts it made the servers look very sloppy and unclean. Kim M gulfport
