First visit: Wednesday, March 29th. "Robert" (not using real name to protect employee privacy) is a silent rock star. He was working by himself, and was quiet but polite and a pleasure to interact with. I imagine Robert wearing a beret and tweed vest, walking his beagle on a lazy Sunday whilst smoking a corn cob pipe and reading Henry David Thoreau. "Robert" made two separate tasty coffee-centric beverages and I was pleased to tip 14.5%. Second visit: Thursday, March 30th. "Joe" (the title on the nametag) was aloof and hard to understand. We did hear a snippet between him and a co-worker that he is here from the Philipines and working to save money to transition to female. I believe the pejorative term is "ladyboy". Regardless, the drinks took a bit, and when they were presented, they had whipped cream. WE SAID NO WHIPPED CREAM. The drinks were not actually entirely blended; we observed chunks of ice and mix. Due to what I believed was sub-standard service and drink quality, I left a paltry 10.2% tip. If the schedule could be posted online, that would be wonderful. We do plan to return to Reno later this year. So, in closing: will return when ROBERT is working. Will not return when JOE is working. 1 star for Joe, 5 stars for Robert. *Google, by altering or deleting this review, you agree to pay me $100 in "SIPS" gift cards (only when Robert is working) and also issue regular updates on Joe's "journey".

Since we were staying at this hotel, we decided to get our morning cup of joe at the coffee shop downstairs. Coffee was good, but that was the extent of it. Service was awful. All three of the girls working today had no personality at all, looked miserable, and would rather stand around talking to each other then help their customers. As I stood there waiting to be acknowledged (I was the only one in line), one of the girls was counting change and the other two were standing in front talking to each other. One took a long drink from her cup, walked up to the counter, took another drink, burped, and finally helped me. As much as I need my coffee in the morning, I will go without or visit Starbucks rather then return to this coffee shop.
