Food was not what I expected. Place look run down and was secluded. The one on Queens, New York is 95percent better. So disappointed since I took my Jamaican friend to show off Guyanese Chinese food and was a not impressed. These reviews are misleading and overrated

Very nice, comfort and clean hotel. Every staffs are kind. But the Taxi in front of hotel is not good enough because its expensive fare. :( To Disneyland 200CYN and to PVG airport 290CYN. I do not recommend at all.

Located just next to the Shanghai old Town, and next to a subway station (Yu Garden). Also it is within a 15 min walk to the famous Nanjing Road and The Bund for sightseeing.

Nice view of Pudong. Standard rooms are a little small but they were nice to upgrade me to a junior suite which is spacious and with a great view. The service of the staff is what is making my stay special. Helen at the club lounge is so pleasant and helpful beyond what I have experienced at hotel lounges all over the world.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a Friendly Planet Best of China tour and found it very comfortable. The interior of the hotel was beautiful, and the location was great, within walking distance of the Yu Garden and Old Town (a must see when it's all lit up at night). The breakfast service could have been more welcoming, but the selection was extensive and tasty. While the rooms were very comfortable and modern, they did not appear to clean the floors, even the bathroom floor, during our stay.

Their service is excellent. The staff members really take care of you the second you show up in your cab. Their navigators took our bags since their check-in lobby is on the 4th floor. I would definitely request for room service for a towel or extra soap because they have this robot that makes all the room service deliveries and yes, it knows how to take the elevator! The room is super spacious and comfortable. We did had an issue with our shower as it was only disbursing boiling hot water but they took care of that right away! A fair warning, if you are planning to have breakfast (buffet style) at the hotel, decide during check-in because it gets ridiculously expensive at the door. I forgot how much it was (both prices). Below is a view from the room we stayed at. The Yu Garden metro (exit 3) is across the street from the building.

Used to come here often for years, lots of tasty dishes to choose from like chicken in de ruff, buffalo wings, fried chicken, pork fried rice, calamari, roast beef, etc.....It's all good. Loses a star due to a limited bar (try asking for a premium cocktail other than a long island and they're always missing that one ingredient or they don't know how to make it) and bartenders need training on their mixology skills the drinks are never consistent. You would have figure some type of renovation/improvement being done after being around for so many years but I guess the owner keeps all the money to herself. 2.5/5 for the cleanliness. Maybe one day you'll offer doubles and aloo pie........
