Our experience at Ai Mori d'Oriente was nothing but pleasent! The hotel is located a few canals and a short 5 minute walk from the Grand Canal and a busy vaporetti stop. Being located just off of the main thoroughfare meant less crowds, more affordable rates and much more quiet. The hotel staff were beyond friendly and welcoming. The staff provided excellent dining and activity suggestions. They are even happy to call the suggested restaurant and make a reservation in your name. The room was clean, well decorated and spacious. The daily continental style breakfast was fantastic and well stocked. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and everybody!

We stayed here in December for a weekend it was a lovely cosy hotel very clean and staff were accommodating and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and the location is great because you're a short walk from shops and restaurants within the area.

We had 3 nights here. The hotel is warm, clean and accommodating. It is everything you expect from a 4 star hotel. The hotel is in the quiter area but there is lots to do without the hoards of tourists. As we arrived in December the hotel was beautifully dressed in Christmas decorations

Location is good, near the train station. Rooms are ok, no view from standard rooms. Breakfast is good. The reception staff however keeps hustling you for special offers and trips etc most of which are overpriced Vs market so check before signing up. Average experience overall considering the price so check other options before booking.

I enjoyed 2 days in Venice and want to share my experience at the "Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel".
We arrived by the train at the train station of Venice and needed to walk about 20 minutes to the hotel, cause it was our first time.
When we arrived, we got our keys and a lot information about the room and offers (Boat trip around Venice or drinks at a rooftop bar). The hotel service accompanied us to the room and informed us about the service of the hotel.
Near the hotel you have a lot of bars and restaurants. All important sights of Venice is about 10 -20 minutes away.
The cleaning service was not good, because they just clean the room, but they did not refill the glasses, cups and shampoo. I needed to go to the hotel service and get it by myself.
The worst thing though was the shower. The construction of the bathroom is really bad, if you take a shower, the floor is all wet. You need to take your towel to not stand in water. That's really uncomfortable in my opinion.
Overall the Hotel was still okay and the breakfast good in the morning.
So I cant recommend this hotel, if you care about the room you want to sleep. But the location was good and the breakfast too.
Hope you have a better picture of expectation of the hotel.

A cute and inviting hotel in Venice Italy. Of the three lovely places we stayed this was easily the most friendly all around. For breakfast they had a wide array of food and drinks. The room was cozy, comfy, and I enjoyed the overhead shower as well as the heavy and sound proof bathroom door. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our first trip and we hope to be back again!

On the whole this was a very nice hotel in a peaceful, quiet part of Venice. However, our visit was spoiled by the cleaning staff stealing from our hotel room. We left tips for the cleaner and she left the usually complimentary chocolates. One morning, the chocolates we had been saving had been removed. On the morning we were to leave the cleaner kept knocking at our door pressuring us to leave. Very disappointing for such a nice hotel. I think more care needs to be taken in recruiting honest and conscientious cleaning staff, and weeding out the bad apples who steal from guests.

The hotel service is top notch. Very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and how to get around in the city. There rooms are nice. The location is kind of far from the activities, but there are restaurants near and it is peaceful and quiet.
