We rented from Advantage during our vacation to Palm Beach because it was cheap. The car we got was perfect. New, clean and well equipped. The service was friendly and helpful. When it was time to return the car, I went to this website to get directions and saw all of the bad reviews. I was prepared for a hard time when we brought the car back but nothing could be further from the experience that we had. The people were friendly and helpful and all went off without a hitch. No surprises on the bill. Whatever the situation was that caused the other reviews, Advantage has corrected it. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Absolute worst rental car company in West Palm Beach. This place will charge you for things that you didn't even want. I declined the insurance and they ended up charging me for it anyway. The rental was advertised for $22/day. I had the car for 3 days and ended up paying close to $300! It was an absolute rip off. They will lose a lot of customers because of me.

0 stars. We needed to rent a car for 4th of July weekend for business, but since there were many different people going with us, we were looking at many options. With this in mind, before we reserved a car with any company, the first thing we asked was if they had a cancellation fee. We called this location, they told us that as long as we cancelled it within 48 hours of your reservation there would be no fee. Ended up that one of the couples that were supposed to go with us had a close family member pass away earlier that week. So, we cancelled our reservation online almost a week before our pickup date to find that we were returned everything but $50. What a surprise! A cancellation fee. We were told to email a lady named Megan, who said that she understood the situation, and would return the fee. But first she needed proof. We were just carpooling with this couple, which we knew through a mutual friend who would be in a separate car. We do not even have their contact info, and they wanted us to ask them for proof that this couple's family member died before they could give us our money back. Obviously, we are not about to be that insensitive to ask a grieving family to send us proof. We did what we were supposed to do by cancelling in a timely manner, as the representative told us to do, and this is how they handled it. When I responded back to her email politely questioning the moral integrity of her request, she stopped responding to me. When I called back to customer service yet again, after being told a few times before that our account has been noted and we should be refunded the money, the first question I asked was what notes were on our account since we still didn't have the money back, and they said it only noted that it was cancelled. When asked to speak with a supervisor, the lady on the other end told me that there was no supervisor there...oh, please. But yet when she went on hold she came back and said that she spoke with someone who advised her to handle it this way. That sounds a lot like something a supervisor would tell her. I then called the local office. The man who answered to phone at this location was of no help. While on the phone with me, he starts carrying on a conversation with a customer at the desk. He was very rude and just placed me on hold. Before he did that, I could hear the customer saying that he just picked up his car and refused to take it off the lot because he felt unsafe using it for a road trip with his family. Among other things, the tires were completely bald and had no traction. Never again will I even think about using this company or EZ Rentals, which has the exact same people running their customer service. It was nothing but lies upon lies...very disappointing.

On Dec 29th 2015, I made a reservation online at EZRENTACAR (affiliated with Advantage at that location) and went to pick up the car at the time specified on the contract. The staff was very friendly. I was asked to show proof of insurance (which I did!! btw you must have comprehensive, collision if you didn't know). I was offered their insurance package which I politely refused. However, I added their roadside assistance package as I was traveling to Tampa (nearly 200 miles away), and didn't want any headache. A hold of nearly 300$ was placed on my card. THE BAD: The car I was given had a few scratches and dents on it. The seats had some stains. I got the car at night time. one of their representatives went outside with me and we checked everything. He took note of all the scratches/dents and gave me a copy of it. None of the things I mentioned bothered me. Although, I think it would be nice if the car was more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. OVERALL: I did get a pretty good deal given that it was the HOLIDAYS and everyone else was crazy expensive. I returned the car two (2) days later and everything went smooth. I was charged ONLY the initial amount on the contract. Don't let what other people say prevent you from trying these folks. I saw the reviews but I decided to see for myself. My experience has been pretty good. I have already booked a reservation with them this coming April in Vegas. Hope this helps

Terrible. What a Disaster of a car rental. EZ is incompetant I inspected the entire vehicle and pointed out every ding the employee assured me it was documented and I was good then when returning the rental they tried to say i caused misc dents dings and scratches and wanted to charge me. I went directly to the manager and he didnt seem surprised and told the employee too take the car back and stop the nonsense. It seems that this is an ongoing scam of theirs. The car was filthy it looked like its never been washed. THERE WAS A HALF SMOKED MARIJUANNA CIGARETTE in the center console. Save time and stress and rent from a reputable company

Too bad I had to give a star when I would have given minus several. Lies and fraud and total incompetence!! Both agents and what they laughingly 'customer service'! What was supposed to be $73 charged to a dedicated credit card, wound up being $153 removed from my personal debit card! There's a good reason why the man at the PBI counter doesn't wear a name tag. He charged an extra $40 because my name was on the card and my son was the pick-up person. Two hours late and I got charged $44 which was twice as much as the daily rate ($20)!! And if you cancel without at least 72 hrs notice, they charge you the whole rate. The No Name agent urged me not to fill up the tank, saying I'd only be charged $2.18 a gallon, then had me initial to approve being charged $8.99 a gallon! Small decals on the windows said that there might be a charge of up to $250 for cars brought in dirty--may include smoking. Nothing mentioned by No Name at the counter. So I stopped and paid for a professional wash and vacuum.

I was prepared for the worst given the reviews, but I have to say that Advantage provided exactly what they promised. Our car was ready when we arrived and was fine during our stay in Stuart and drive to Orlando. Returning the car was fairly painless, our receipt was emailed almost immediately, and our $200 deposit was refunded the next day. Our only complaint was that we waited forever for the shuttle from PBI to the agency: literally had 4 Hertz vans stop before ours arrived. However, the return trip was fast and right to the gate. Overall, we're pretty pleased with our experience.
