I'm a big defender of equality, so when I witness first hand unjust practice I will most definitely speak up. Note, I am not a guest staying in this establishment as an overnight guest, but as New York native hoping to enjoy the beautiful beaches this country has to offers. I state this point because I am extremely disappointed at the difference in the level of customer service bestowed upon overnight guest of this establishment, as opposed to families who want to maybe just spend the day and take advantage of their day passes, which are offered, for a fee of course. That being said, there are rules and regularities that are not stated clearly at your initial registration. If you're an overnight guest you're privy to all Top Notch service however if you are other establishment as a day pass holder, you're nothing but a peasant, and will be treated as such. Don't waste your money on this place. There are plenty of other Resorts offering day passes on the same strip. Second time visiting this Resort but NEVER EVER again. very unfortunate. I had a good time at this resort. I went in May so it was nice and quiet. The weather was great. The only thing that was really bad at the time was the staff at the front desk were super slow at assigning our rooms. We waited for like 3 hours to get out room. Other then that the experience was great. I enjoyed eating at Michelangelo a lot. Rooms were nice and clean.

The reason why I'm giving them one star is because of their dishonest staff. Initially I was going to make a reservation online for $106/night. Since, my internet was running slow I thought I call and make the reservation with them. They quoted me $180/night, I thought it was too much so I said no thanks. At the end of the day we just needed a place to stay, so we decided to head there anyways without making a reservation. When I got there the same people that I talked to on the phone said that it would be $360/night. I told him that he quoted me $180 on the phone, then another guy said $180/person. I checked their website through google maps and the rooms were still starting at $106/night, so I decided to book the reservation through the site. The staff refused to amend the reservation claiming that I was supposed to book for three nights, but the website does not disclose that with the customer. Therefore, I should called the 1800 number and cancelled the reservation, since their website prompts customer to make the purchase through a third party. It all sounded like a bunch of made up excuses, and I know that the reason why they brought up the price was because they noticed that we weren't from there. I was willing to pay the $180 I was quoted, but to bring it up to $360 like I'm an idiot tells me a lot about the way these people do business. Another thing, if you are advertising a price online then you must amend your price, since it was how I found out about you anyways. I asked the staff for a business card so that I get my money back from the reservation I made online and said that they did not have any left. If you have dishonest people working for you then you're running a dishonest business.

Very nice hotel. They fransfer my reservation from Belive because they were full and think this was a good choice. The front desk staff is very friendly, the reception was good and qucik. The food was very tasty with a lot of choices every day. Entertainment staff works hard to provide a good show and the best of all was the beach, this hotel has the best location on playa dorada. I recomend it.

Good: really nice beach, one section is more shaded than the other. Animation staff is doing a good job. Overall it is clean. Food is ok to good. The view of the mountain is really nice. The location is great, close to the airport and walking distance from a small shopping center. Bad: Front desk service is awful. Rooms are ok, if you get a lower floor and/or renovated room. Buffet selection/choices is lacking. Buffet/restaurant service is non-existent unless you tip in advance. Just getting glass of water or silverware is complicated. Overall: If they would improve their customer service, it would make a world of difference. For the price we paid it was ok. We have no regrets but would not go back. We spoke to many others people at the hotel and they pretty much all felt the same, "wouldn't go back"

Horrible experience-don't ever go there for a wedding or for anything for that matter. They treat you like dogs and second class citizens. PS we came from the US. We were staying at another resort down the beach and came to a wedding (actually thats why we came to Domincan in the first place.) We were literally chased around with batons and they didnt want us to watch the wedding and finally gave in for us to atleast view the wedding but not stay for dinner. After the wedding they fought with us and kept changing the prices as we said we would pay to eat and then they said that well you can eat but you cant drink as you will need to pay for a night pass. After talking with the guards and management they ended up saying they would let us in at menu price for dinner and drinks with the wedding party but at that point in time, It was completely ruined and we just left. Completely ridiculous. I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. DON'T STAY THERE> They treat you like CRAP!!!!!!

Was there in Jan 2017. Over all, price for what you pay for is ok.. if you pay very cheap. We had an upgraded room with a beach view which was not bad but while talking to other guests we heard some horror stories about other rooms. Hotel facilities aren't great, game rooms are cheap and and almost no games. Hot tub is more like a lukewarm small pool. If you like to drink do not expect name brand alcohol, it is all their "home brand" rum, vodka, whiskey etc.. I found most servers to be rude and will not look at you unless you are a female with big breasts. The one part that is beautiful is the beach but it it very difficult to enjoy because you get constantly harassed by beach vendors who do not let up. The food was quite decent.. The "mall" that is advertised is bad at best, do your research before you buy anything because vendors will try to befriend you and rip you off while making it seem they are giving you a great deal. All in all not great but if you get a cheap deal.. you'll get what you pay for.. If you're young, low budget, don't care and like to party this is the kind of place for you.
