Carnegie's Dining Car

Went for the river regatta. Check in and out went quick. Nice pre regatta party on Friday night. Bus to event was clean and well organized. Rooms are decent. 2 of the 3 tables I gambled at friendly dealers. Would stay again.

Decor was cute. Front desk staff I dealt with was friendly. Took more than half an hour to wait for my deposit back so I would recommend using a card. The pool was closed most of our stay so our kids were bored. The bright color in the casino was nice compared to all the ones in the area that are usually dark. Seafood buffet was really good.

Room is nice for the price, but has serious lack of outlets and sufficient lighting. Also, only 2 coffee packets supplied, and I'm a big coffee drinker. Had to call housekeeping to order more @ $ 1.00 apiece. All personnel I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Food was a little pricey at most eateries in the casino area. Overall I'd still recommend staying here. Rooms are a big bang for your buck. I didn't come here to sit in the room all day anyway. There's too much to do in this area. Joe G.

the hotel its self is nice. clean and the rooms are quiet. no refrigerators in the room which was a pain but that is my only complaint about the hotel. the casino was nice. that cocktails weren't anything to write home about but the staff is friendly and the slots are fun. they players club card that they have is a nice point system. easy to earn. I wish they had better promotions as the other casinos on the strip had good gifts, promotions, and free play but the point system is better here. so pick your poison. all in all it was well worth the stay

Carnegie's Dining Car

So let me explain my 5 star rating and what brought me to this. I had booked 2 rooms for a few nights on a promotion that was mailed to me - great, free rooms! A day before our trip, I had to cancel my room but my wife was still going to attend because she was meeting some family members there. I called in to the reservations desk and a kind woman by the name of Yolanda answered. Let me tell you, Yolanda provided the BEST customer service experience ever. Between cancelling one room, updating payment info and simply just taking care of us as guests, she went above and beyond. Extremely kind, patient and willing to help as best as she can. If you're lucky enough, Yolanda will answer your call and take great care of you. This is what my review is primarily based on. The hotel itself isn't bad. I've stayed there in the past and have had an amazing time. From the food to the actual gaming selection, it was all great. Most would agree that Laughlin falls in comparison to the likes of Vegas, but that's the cool thing - slower pace, not as busy or crowded, and all in all, much more enjoyable.

Check in was easy, they mixed up my reservation and switched me from the casino tower to the family Promenade tower. It sucked for me because my leg isn't really good so that walking hurt. I got to the room and my shower was still dirty so i ended up cleaning it myself! the next day we left the service sign for the made. she just vacuumed and dusted around some of the trash on the counter. she didn't do her job but still took her tip. Now as for the Casino itself if you play on the tables. WATCH YOUR DEALER they constantly kept sweeping off my bets from roulette The winning bets i may add. So i was doing wonderful on Roulette until the dearer cheated me out of my winning!!! i kept betting on the same numbers and a few split bets so when my number hit naturally i was excited however because one of the other players bumped my chip and made it barley touch the line, They called it a split bet. and Everyone on the table even got upset because they knew i always bet the number!! so beware. Most likely going to have to switch casinos and hotels!!! And when i go it's a family vacation. this time it was almost 30 of us!!!!!! so we all decided no more TROPICANA

It was a great family casino. The pool area was a little crowded but decent enough to swim. They had plenty of great slots and good tournaments. It was like a family version of vegas. Most of the people stay there to go to the Colorado river. The room were spacious and sort of updated. The room cleaning could be better. Overall a great stay.

Very nice specious rooms. Attentive and quick to respond to requests. Our tub was not draining very well. We spoke to the front desk and they had someone to send up right away to fix it. Worked great after. Quick to bring extra towels. We stay here every year!! Love how the parking structure is connected to the hotel

Absolutely love this place sometimes I win money sometimes I lose but I always have fun. There is good lighting and especially good ventilation in the casino. I love their rooms they are always very clean and if there is ever a problem the hosts or security handle it very well. The Italian food is the best and the prices are even better for all you can eat pasta. The Round House Buffet is also good there is not a huge selection like in the other casinos and they are closed a lot of the time during the day but the food is very good food and the price is also good. The casino has a lot of comps that they are actually generous about. I have been staying at the Tropicana since it used to be the Ramada and I have not paid for one night stay. I do gamble a lot so it makes up for it but I would rather gamble and get free rooms rather than pay for rooms. At least this way I get to have fun. I now have a child so i stay in the back tower but for years I was in the adult tower and I loved this concept. I will always stay here when I come to Laughlin and I come often lol! I can't wait to go back.

Not the Laughlin of the past. Casinos here have cut the number of slots and have mostly older machines. Just not the same fun exciting place. We went to three casinos on memorial weekend none of them where busy. Played a few games but didn't win hardly anything. Machine's are set to low win is my thought. While there no one around us was winning anything to speak of. I have owned slot machines and I know when they have been set to low customer odds. Have more wins at local Indian casinos.
