High quality cuisine and service. The menu has something different to offer from the traditional Asian inspired menus. Worth a try. Seems the duck was popular.

Good service, food was hit and miss and very overpriced. We paid $20 for a plate of peanuts and dried anchovies. This used to be a complimentary dish when under Zen management. Unfortunately we won’t be returning which is a shame because we were regular customers of Zen for many years.

Good but not excellent - For the prices of the dishes I would've expected something more special but it wasn't anything special. It was like going to my local Chinese take away but paying double the price. The presentation of the food wasn't spectacular again it didn't reflect the price. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. I'd rate it 3*** out of 5 because there's definitely a lot of room for improvement. #DestinationFood

This is a very typical "white guy" Chinese restaurant. Nothing authentic about it. Food was very ordinary, service was good however. After a few picks on the menu it added up quite pricey and walk out not satisfied.

What a rip off! Paid $10 for a pot of “Chinese tea” which was just a weak tea bag.. Not traditional Chinese tea at all. $28 for a tiny entree sized honey pork. Main meal pepper steak was also very small portion size.. they stinged on the meat and made it 1/2 mushroom.. not much meat at all compared to Zen’s pepper steak main meal was much larger and was all meat. Usually we would have left overs at Zen to take home, but not at Imperial. Sizes were way smaller and more expensive.. I feel like they have jacked all the prices up to pay for their Reno’s.

This has to be the finest asian restaurant on the Gold Coast. It serves fresh Bejing style asian food. The Staff including the Manager Larry, Hostess Ms Jenny and the huge wait staff are professional and proficient. The food is first class and made from the freshest ingredient. The restaurant is expensive but fine food costs money and in a lot of things especially good restaurants you pay for what you get. Dont try turning up Friday or Saturday nights without a booking - the place is always packed and you will not get a table. All in the best asian experience you will have on the coast - it also rivals the best in Birsbane (Enjoy inn) Sydney (Imperial Peking) and Melbourne (Flower Drum). Give it a try but dont forget to book.
