First time going to Ruth's Chris Steak House, food was great. Entire milestone birthday for my friend ruined. Waitress started out funny and engaging.... BUT...proceed to take a 4 way split check and Over Charge! Guess almost $200 bucks times 4 couples was not enough. Our friends dad had an alert from his bank about fraudulent charges. Turns out he was charged over $500 bucks for his meal and charged the almost $200 again, alleged computer glitch. Phone calls were made to his bank as his card was shut off. Waitress seemed apologetic at first then irritated she had to deal with the situation. She got her added gratuity, guess when she received her cut she no longer cared. They GM would not reverse charges nor do much to compensate for their error. They did give a gift card to the couple that had the issue. BUT...To add insult to injury 6 of the 8 people at the table were given drinks but two were not even asked if they wanted something. To pay that much for a meal and leave feeling that irritated was so disappointing. Very let down from all the hype about the food, ambiance and customer service. Word to the wise, pay with cash for big parties splitting checks. How would you like to be on vacation and have your bank shut off your card to protect you and have the staff say it will be resolved in 5 to 7 days. The sucks to be you attitude was shocking. Stop telling me what you can't do but what you can do. In this situation they blamed a computer and took no real responsibility for it. When the GM was asked who her boss was you felt the mood change again. Was information provided who he was yes but how to contact him... of course no phone number or anything. The just pay and leave attitude. Not happy. They are not the only steak house in Vegas.
