A few years ago, Dover Downs had decent restaurants and Frankie's was one of them. We were there in the summer and it was atrocious. Waitress admitted it was her first night, but did not know what a Dewar's and water was! My daughter had to explain same as rum and coke but water and scotch....then she brought a glass of water in a tall glass with half glass of scotch on side and no ice! Dinners were terrible. Chicken piccata tasted like chicken and dumplings with a slice of lemon and capers. Hands down, the worst food I have ever eaten. Service was terrible. The Maitre d was the man who usually hosts at Michele's upstairs; he was very busy handling complaints that night. Table next to us complained of undercooked chicken.
That whole track has gone to the dogs. Restaurants are bad, class of horses is down also. It needs to be "reinvented" before it goes down the tubes.
