Just visited this past weekend. Was a big fan of Horseshoe because of the Total Rewards and it's connection to Vegas! Thought since it was opening weekend, that there would be more free play and the machines would be a tad more friendly because one would think that a grand opening and good reviews would bring in loyal customers. Totally wrong...my wife and I being prior Diamond members and now K and C card holders are not stupid and understand you can't get rich at a casino. However, allow the customers to enjoy their new experience with maybe alittle play time...we don't expect anything more. Additionally, there was hardly anyone at the buffet Friday for dinner nor Sat for breakfast...the food was not good. The only positive was the workers there, the hosts and servers, who understandably were not happy because they weren't making any tips...how could they with no people there! Total Rewards members made their statement!
Unfortunately, the many good memories before at the Horseshoe are going to be just that...good memories. If our experience was better at Jack, we definitely would make the two hour trip back again...however, I'll make the longer 4 hour drive to Detroit and stick with Caesar's and Total Rewards.
