Myself and my husband came to stay at the Millrace Hotel on Tuesday 14th June 2016. We had not read any reviews before booking and then read some the night before we arrived. Some of the reviews were awful and so we were nearly going to cancel. We went ahead with the visit because we had booked time off work and wanted to try the cycle up Mt. Leinster. We are so glad we came and I have to say I cannot understand the negative reviews. The hotel is a bit 'eighties' in decor and could do with a revamp but it is only cosmetic and very minor. Overall our stay was lovely and really the Millrace staff are the friendliest hotel staff I have ever met - either in Ireland or abroad. The food is a decent standard and good value for money. We had one evening meal but had breakfast each morning of our three day stay. The Irish fry up was of a pretty good standard and consistently good over the three days. Our bedroom was very clean and the towels were changed each day. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room and a decent hairdryer. Wifi connectivity was very good. Both myself and my husband feel very strongly that people should not post such inaccurate reviews as it could really put people off visiting and they would be missing out. By the way the cycle up Mt.Leinster was stunning!
