Place must be cleaned up and staff better trained recently by reading earlier postings. Glad I didn't read them before we booked. I would have cancelled. We spent 5 nights/6 days. Food prices are still very high. Suntan lotion is $23+ Everything is super expensive. We tried to budget our meals and luckily didn't opt for meal package as lines to those restaurants were very long. Average meal for 3 over 100 each meal at the cheaper restaurants. Pizza is over $40 for 1. The room was nice but couldn't use the tv the first day as no remote and no hair dryer. Took 3 calls to get this resolved. Water park super fun but crowds from cruise ships take over and lines long to get on rides and they can be messy. The grounds still beautiful and love the aquariums. We booked the deep water dolphin experience and best we've ever had. Much better than discovery cove. Nicer , relaxed and knowledgeable staff. Most of hotel staff really great. Some very stoic and not much for small talk. They seem like they are trying to be nicer. Did meet a funny bartender at the large shell restaurant by the lagoon that had us in stitches with his jokes. Wish I could remember his name. Quoted jokes from his father and he teased his co workers. They didn't laugh but we did. Great guy. Wish more staff had his sense of humor and social skills. Must be frowned on as he was worried he would be in trouble for talking with my husband and I. Overall a great vacation. Would recommend the poop deck restaurant just past the bridge. Great food at a reasonable price. The straw market was fun. Not as aggressive as years ago. Hope the new Bahama resort opens soon. Would like to compare and will only improve service and prices at Atlantis as they will have some competition. Would recommend for families. Just be prepared to pay top dollar for meals.
