MSC Cruises Vaccination Policy Update

(Update: 8/29/2022 at 10:07 am)
MSC Cruises made the following policy update:

"We have updated our health and safety protocols for U.S. residents sailing from U.S. ports to the Caribbean and The Bahamas. Vaccination is recommended but no longer required and pre-cruise testing is recommended but not required for fully vaccinated guests. Unvaccinated guests are required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) taken within 3 days of embarkation. Requirements for non-U.S. residents remain unchanged."

"For ships departing from U.S. ports, wearing masks and social distancing onboard are optional for fully vaccinated guests and recommended but not required for unvaccinated children. Masks are optional unless required by local regulations in our terminals. Guests must follow all local mask regulations at public ports of call. Protocols are subject to change."

COVID-19 TEST REQUIREMENTS
"For U.S. and Puerto Rico residents departing on cruises from U.S. and non-U.S. ports: All guests are recommended but not required to be fully vaccinated. Vaccinated guests must show proof of vaccination at embarkation before boarding. For fully vaccinated guests, testing is recommended (within 3 days of embarkation before boarding) but not required (with proof of vaccination), per our vaccination requirements. Unvaccinated guests (ages 2 and older) must show proof of a lab-administered negative COVID-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) taken within 3 days of embarkation before boarding. Children under 2 years of age are not required to submit a negative test."

"For international guests (non-U.S. & Puerto Rico residents) departing on cruises from U.S. ports: All guests 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of embarkation. MSC Cruises recommends that fully vaccinated guests receive booster doses when eligible to do so, per CDC recommendations. All guests 2 years and older, independent of vaccination status, are required to show proof of a negative antigen or RT-PCR lab administered test taken no more than 3 days prior to ship embarkation. Children under 2 years of age are not required to submit a negative test."
