Never stay at the Golden Gate Casino and Hotel on Fremont in downtown Las Vegas. Their rooms are horrible! Bathroom door wouldn't even open all the eay because the toilet was in the way. I think Motel 6 has WAY better rooms. What's worse is that at the end of your stay they surprise you with a "resort fee". I booked online through their website and thought I was seeing the TOTAL for my room...NOT! Not sure what they consider resort about it. No pool, a/c and heat controlled by them, so room was hot and stuffy, music from street and casino was so loud I had to wear earplugs to bed. NEVER AGAIN! Pay a little extra to stay someplace nice.
