The hotel looks a bit spartan from outside, with zero landscaping. But, the inside was clean and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and was helpful with an issue with the TV, a loose wire I should have tried. The room was clean, though I'd give it a 4.9 stars. A bit more detail on the corners, but very nice. And they could stand to throw a couple tennis balls in the dryer, the towels are like sandpaper, and at a location with a high incidence of sunburn, sifter towels is a big perk. Also, You could feel the subfloor through the carpet in the hallways. But all this was minor, it was perfectly clean. The pool is a joke for an adult, and with it having windows onto the lobby, the hit tub is a bit awkward. The lobby arrangement is strange. The sitting area is nearest the food instead of being by the front desk. It's awkward to have someone checking out arms reach from you as you eat breakfast. Not the place you want a customer if an issue arises at the front desk. The breakfast was not bad for such a budget hotel, but I implore you, buy an induction cooktop for $80 or convection oven and put some brown on the potatoes and the sausages. But, the food was fresh, hot and good (potatoes were gross, soggy, bland). The warm cookies were a nice welcome home, and the staff was top notch, helpful and friendly. We'd come back again, great value.
