The Golden Nugget is a great hotel and casino. My most favorite part is the pool area. Outstanding! Centrally located on the first floor of the hotel. the outdoor pool area is fantastic! It has a large pool and features a HUGE aquarium that you can swim right up to and get eye to eye with sharks and other wildly colored, exotic fish. They even have a clear, see through, water slide that goes right through the middle of the aquarium! There are plenty of lounge chairs for you to soak up the sun, and they have a separate hot tub. There is an area of the pool that has special lounge chairs in the water, so that you can relax and be cooled off by the water at the same time. Several pool side gaming tables complete the experience.
The rooms are large, well decorated and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like is the rather (in my opinion) excessive daily resort fee of about $35 a day! This covers things such as the use of the pool, and internet, which didn't work that well.
The Golden Nugget is right in the middle of all the action on the celebrated Fremont Street, in downtown Las Vegas. if you don't mind all the lights, noise, loud music, and crazy street performers, 24/7, then this is the place for you!
