I'm currently staying in PH having arrived on Sunday evening from Manchester. Check in was easy and the staff really welcoming and polite. The lobby gives a decent first impression of the hotel however once you venture upstairs, the hotel really leaves a huge amount to be desired, I have to say, I am so disappointed, you think 'Planet Hollywood' which has such a great reputation would be amazing but that is so far from the truth. Here are just the first few observations.... The decor is shabby and tired, the bath in my room is water stained, the window in my room on the 6th floor has some kind of industrial noise machine outside it so i have constant humming all night long, there is no mini bar - not even any complimentary water in the room - I am astounded at that fact alone, the breakfast can be purchased at Starbucks downstairs so I have to eat on the fly, there is also always a massive queue. The location of the hotel is really fantastic, you are right in the hub of the strip, this alone is the best bit about the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful however i would never come back here and I would not recommend staying here either, especially considering the price of the stay. Planet Hollywood you need some major upgrades to get the thumbs up from me. You are not nearly a 4* hotel, at best you are a 3*. You have so much potential but being big does not always mean best
