I've stayed at the Monte Carlo five times and always had a great experience - I definitely plan to go back! Some of my favourite things about the hotel are; the great location on the strip which makes it easy to walk to many other resorts, the rooms which are spacious and clean, the affordable price and the well equipped fitness centre. Unfortunately despite requesting a king bed every stay, we've always received two queens. The hotel is also starting to look worn, for example the carpets and wallpaper in hallways, but I believe a major refurbishment is underway which should address this.
