Stayed here for a few days on a combined business and fun trip. Overall it was a pleasant stay but there were some hitches.
First the good: The staff everywhere in the hotel, restaurants and casino were amazing. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to smile and say "hi" as they passed in the hallways. That was on thing that made our stay very nice The food in the restaurants ranged from very good to excellent. Our room was comfortable and quiet.
Now for the not-so-good: It's an old property that is well-maintained by showing it's age in places. The walls in the room were dirty in places, but not "filthy" at all. There was not enough hot water in the mornings for shaving, though the showers were OK. There were also a couple of maintenance issues with the room, though nothing that prevented us from using it.
We had a good stay, and if we visit Kansas City again we will likely give this Harrah's another try - if for no other reason because the people were so great.
