I am deeply shocked by the situations I witnessed and personally lived in this hotel,
It would never be a place to be recommended by me to anyone.
Montevideo is a great place, but any other hotel choice will be better than the Radisson. There are huge problems of internal security and I saw almost altercations among guests. The security personnel without any training and overall it looks like a structure where all staff is underpaid and where nobody really cares about the guests. Other than that, I pretty much believe the place does not even has security cameras fully operational. At least a copy of the day my own mother was nearly attacked by some deranged guest was asked by me to their general manager over SIXTY DAYS ago and I never got a reply. So much for their seriousness!
If their management hasn’t learnt so far how to run the place, there is no more hope at all. I have forwarded several emails to the Carlson Rezidor Group and the best they could say was that the Radisson Montevideo is a franchise. Said like that, it makes me think the staff can run the place as they please without any responsibility, because there are no guidelines to be followed and the guests will always have to put up with situations the hotel will never be ready to handle.
I got terrified by the answers from the general manager of the Radisson, that shows how reckless and irresponsible all things done there are.
I would also avoid the Arcadia Restaurant and Victoria Bistro, both inside the Radisson and equally run in the worst of ways.
Detail: I was there for twenty five nights and therefore I know what I am saying. I checked in on December 10 th 2017 and out on January 3 rd 2018.
NEVER AGAIN!
