This hotel looks very impressive, has a lovely setting near Lake Annecy and the lake view room was excellent. However it was badly let down by a very outdated and inflexible policy of not turning on the air conditioning until May 1st, despite the bedroom being overwhelmingly hot when we arrived due to an outside temperature in the high twenties. Although opening the windows helped later in the evening, they could not be left open due to noisy teenagers and loud music in the surrounding park. Even when the windows were shut we could still hear this noise until 3am. As a result, we had a very bad night with little sleep. A hotel of this supposed standard and at this price should not have such a non customer friendly policy, especially as opening the windows is not an option in this location. Do not stay here in hot weather unless it is from May to September.
