Ultra New Town Tavern

Had the fisherman's platter. Scrod, scallops, shrimp and clams. All were very tasty but the Ipswich whole belly clams were almost totally without bellies. It looked like they had run out of whole clams and attempted to substitute strip clams. 3 of us had clams and all were the same. The taste was excellent but for 23 dollars I would expect the real thing. I will have misgivings about returning I am afraid. Too bad because the tavern purports to have started in my hometown of Weymouth. The help was pleasant and efficient. They did comp one order of clams and apologized for "our not liking the meal".
