Sad... so sad. Just got home from a visit to there. My wife and I grew up in Alton, and have went to the belle almost from day one. Tonight's visit may well be our last. It's a Saturday night. Very depressing. Small crowd and old machines. All the new machines are in the landing. The boat itsself has an overabundance of older machines. It appears the third deck has been permanently closed. It reminds me of the final days of The President. It's been going downhill since Penn-National took over. Sad place indeed. Spend your time and money at any of the Casinos in the area. Casino Queen, Lumiere, Hollywood, Ameristar, or even make the trek to River City. You'll have a good time.
