We have stayed at this particular hotel on numerous occasions. It's not the Ritz, but we aren't trying to stay at the Ritz. However, this experience was like no other. The toilet was dirty. The heating unit malfunctioned all night long. The smoke detector was chirping, and the clerk told us to unplug it instead of providing a battery or a maintenance call. It continued to chirp even after unplugging it. Upon checkout, my husband tried to express concerns to the clerk - who didn't even make eye contact. She cut him off mid conversation. I went back to turn in the keys, told them the stay was not very good, and again the clerk made no eye contact, didn't bother to ask about the issues that needed to be addressed prior to the next guest occupying the room. She did give us a credit on the rate, but it still wasn't worth it.
This was our last stay at this hotel.
