I don't give bad reviews... For your safety don't take your children here! Today they get a bad review do too poor security policies. Be aware, if you are assaulted while at this camp ground, security will not and can not make the person leave. Even if the police are involved. They will uphold their quiet hour policy but apparently there is no policy stating that assault is an eviction offense. It wasn't just assault either, the person threatened small children. Even though the person was intoxicated, it doesn't excuse him from putting his hands on another camper and threatening them and their children. The man was twice the size of this small woman who was camping alone with her son. The intoxicated man and his wife mistook camp ground niceties and grabbed this poor lady. The police were involved, the lady did not press charges, but they were scared enough to finish out the evening sleeping with some other campers because they were scared. Again...security will not make people like this leave. Not impressed. I really like this place otherwise, but bad policies like this will have me keeping my kids away. We may not return after seeing this happen. Later the man found that he mistook the situation and was incredibly sorry, but the matter still stands. The resort wouldn't even offer the possible removal. They were dead set in refusing to remove the man or the possibility. I'm flabbergasted! A man armed to the teeth threatening a single mother and her small child..... really? Not even a warning? Edit: Later we found that the owner of the resort would not allow security to oust the man because his friends have been visitors of the resort for 14 years. They didn't want to loose customers. As we are new to the resort I find this policy ridiculous. If they were afraid of loosing business then they should have thought of that when they openly allowed this man to stay without security even saying anything. Over 15 people from our group witnessed the altercation. If that's the kind of people the resort wants to keep then more power to them. My group will be keeping away from this place that allows people to threaten children. I will be sure to tell many many many many people about this terrible experience and how management AND the owners allow this to happen. Edit: Please note there was more then one person in this man's party who could have drove if he had been evicted. Security said the man could not be evicted even if he was arrested. The fact that security was dead set from the beginning not to even entertain the idea of evicting the man, says a lot. It's called a tow truck...child safety or some idiots tow truck bill....I pick child safety. Maybe it all boils down to horrible communication between management and staff.
