I'll start with what's good:
1. My maid was AWESOME!
2. Front desk and others were nice.
3. Fruit is good. The best grapes and pineapples. Food is decent.
4. Spa was GREAT! Don't spend money on regular prices. They are as high as giraffe vagina! Wait for a concierge wearing a spa shirt to offer you a special.
Now what I didn't like:
1. The power has gone out 5 times since Wednesday and it's only Saturday.
2. The junior suite is nothing more than a regular hotel room in the US except with a jetted tub. DO NOT spend extra money unless you're getting a swim-out room or loft. Even in the loft, it's a couch with a trundle and not a full sofa bed...this is the same for the regular junior suite. If you choose this property, you might as well go for the deluxe room. I've never been in a suite this small and in a suite that lacked so many amenities.
3. Walls in the rooms are paper thin. I can hear the person next door scoot a chair across the floor.
4. Casino is CLOSED! Not sure why it's advertised as a resort and casino.
5. Junior suite doesn't include liquor...only soda and beer. Other suites I've had included rum and whiskey.
6. Map is hard to follow.
7. Shuttles don't run as stated.
8. Steak house was HORRIBLE! The steak comes cooked in three ways: burned, burnt and "burnter." Potatoes were cold.
If I ever come back to the Dominican Republic, I'll most likely NOT stay at this property. I wasn't impressed.
