Overall great gaming experience! It was not the cleanest casino I've visited but it certainly was not bad. (tables and slots could use a wiping down and the floor was quite dirty in some places).
The food at the Cafe is great and priced very reasonably. The girl at the counter was beyond helpful and polite! She was a highlight of the day. I wish I remembered her name.
My only reason for docking one star summed up as briefly as can be: I am gay and had visited the casino with my boyfriend. We left the casino to get fresh air by the front entrance as my health condition causes me to suffer severe nausea throughout the day. I had rested my head on my partners shoulder for a moment when a customer approaching the entrance stopped to make a homophobic comment to us. I said to the customer "is there something I can help you with or are you done?" He did not reply but continued into the casino where I presume he spoke with management and said who knows what. No more than a minute later, not one but three mangers came outside and proceeded to stare down and monitor my partner and I for the next 15 minutes. It is insulting enough to be the target of a random strangers display of blatantly homophobic behavior, but is only made worse with the addition of management then treating US like criminals.
I get the feeling that management likely didn't understand the situation and were likely only there to assess it (again I have no idea what the homophobic customer said to the staff), but i don't believe it is unnatural for me to feel severely unwelcome as a result. It felt like the mangers were ENFORCING the behavior of the ridiculous man by treating us as somebody who's done something wrong when we were actually the ones who were just accosted at your casino. I cashed out ASAP and did not return. At this point I am not certain whether I will in the future. I have no reason to give my business to one that treats me as if they don't want it. I hope this was simply a misunderstanding and not something worse.
