Nugget

This diner sits in the back of a very small, older casino directly situated right downtown on N. Virginia Street. I have both good news and bad news for you. First the good. The food is pretty darn tasty and the portions are huge. For example, they have their famous Awful Awful Burger. It's awful big and it's awful good. For $10.50, it will easily feed two people. They have several other items to choose from. A breakfast menu is also available. So, good food items and reasonable prices. But, you need to know this. There are significant issues. 1) The place is old and cigarette smoke is prevalent. 2) The bathrooms are nasty. My wife used the Women's bathroom and said there is a sharps container on the back of the stall door. The Men's bathroom reminds me of what you see at a frat house. 3) Homeless people are going to be present. When we ate there, it was us, the employees and about 8 homeless. They were absolutely behaved and there were no problems. But they will be in your presence. To recap, you can get a great meal here. My 4 Star rating is for the food and not the ambiance.
