Angel's Rock Bar

Great night life on Friday and Saturdays. Live music. They have a grand buffet, Sidewalk Cafe (favorite) a bar and steakhouse on the main floor. The second floor is the entrance to the track where they have live horse races and also host musicians and game shows from time to time. Clean, fun and exciting. Smoking and non smoking sections of the casino as well.

I visited here as a night out with my mother and visiting grandmother. We had a fantastic time. We had the buffet which had steak and crab legs and various other delicious food. Decent adult beverages and free soft drinks in the casino. I have never watched the horse races at this particular track but the buffet and casino where very nice.

I enjoy visiting here! Great selection of games and slots. Free soft drinks station, low table minimums and nice restrooms. Only down side is the smoking on the game floor.

Ate at the buffet. Went early so everything was fresh. This buffet offers a great number of choices from Asian to meatloaf with mashed potatoes. This was lunch so I ordered two beef patties cooked to order. Fried chicken was good (as always). Lots of deserts but I had my favorite sugar cream pie. The unsweetened tea was sour tasting maybe a bad batch, but, otherwise all was good. The coffee is very good.

This is by far one of the best casinos we've been to. Lots of slot choices that are affordable to play. Very clean and roomy. The staff are fabulous! Nice comps for newbies. The shuttle bus drivers are on the ball. We had to park out quite a ways because we were in an rv and as soon as we started walking they drove over quickly to pick us up. We played a long time and didn't spend a lot of money. We didn't win but we saw lots of other jackpots being won.

Went for Kentucky Derby-AWFUL! The staff is so poorly trained. Every station- whether to ask a question, buy a drink, place a bet, etc walked away from station when we finally made it up for service. Not to mention they were grotesquely understaffed. Valet took over 30 minutes to drop off as well as 45 to pick up. It is not like we arrived and left for Derby only. Complete chaos. Go to the Anderson Casino-went the year before-wished we would have gone there. AWFUL, AWFUL SO AWFUL!!!!

Machines have their days where they pay well, and some where they don't. Buffet and Sidewalk Cafe food choices are good for regular days, and Steakhouse is delicious for occasions. They do a great job of keeping up with new machine availability in the market. Lots of choices to play, with frequent new installations and movement of current machines.

I love this facility. The grounds are simply gorgeous, especially in the back where the horses race. The buffet offers a large variety to choose from, the large chocolate chip cookies are amazing. I chose fried chicken one visit and while the outside looked very appetizing the inside was extremely tough. The casino area is spacious, clean and very nice. I do wish they had a larger non smoking area as some of my favorite slot machines are only available in the smoking section.

Angel's Rock Bar

This place was awesome! We were in Indiana for a business conference and on my 1st visit I hit a jackpot; actually did well the whole night. They had all the latest slots and many I had never played before. The only drawback is this casino is apparently in a bad area of Indianapolis. We had trouble securing transportation from the casino at night for one thing. Then in every restroom there were receptacles for dirty needles—now I was just visiting the state so maybe they have a high percentage of folks with diabetes there but it was a little shocking to my sensibilities to say the least. There was also a couple of older ladies who were kind of stalking us throughout the casino. One of them felt they were responsible for my jackpot because she was some kind of “certified healer” with special powers. I’ve won several jackpots this year in other states though without her assistance so I wasn’t feeling that. My BF finally just paid them to leave us alone. All in all, I’d still love to go back there one day!
