There are three Western themed casinos in a town of eight casinos. Sam's Town does it best. The place is very nice. It reminds me of Walls Drugs in South Dakota. We signed up for the players club and got a $5 food credit which we took to the buffet. The buffet was standard. The service was really good. The waiter was friendly and quick with refills. He called my husband "partner" and me "ma'am". I don't know if they tell him to say that or if he invented that little Western feel on his own. Kudos to him because it made me laugh. Plenty of slots, video poker and tables. Self serve soft drinks. There is a RV park in the far end of the parking lot. The sign said starting at $19.99. For power, water and a shower that's a deal

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FAVORITE CASINO & HOTEL? WE BOOKED OUR NEW YEAR'S EVE STAY 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!!! PAID $689.00 FOR TWO NIGHTS & WERE GIVEN A ROOM WITH NO WORKING HEAT/AC!!! CALLED TO CHANGE THE ROOM BUT WAS TOLD.....WE ONLY HAVE VIP SUITES AND THEY ARE FOR SPECIAL GUESTS ONLY!!! (INVITATION ONLY). WE JUST PAID ALMOST $700 FOR 2 NIGHTS..... THAT'S FREAKING V.I.P....IF YOU ASK ME!!!! WE WERE ON THE 4TH FLOOR WITH NO ICE MACHINES (BOTH WERE BROKEN). FRONT DESK ADVISED US TO GO TO THE 3RD FLOOR FOR ICE!!!!!!!!! THEN,. OUR ROOM DIDN'T HAVE A MICROWAVE, .AND THE FRIDGE WAS LEAKING WATER ON THE FLOOR AND DIDN'T WORK!!! FRONT DESK ADVISED US THAT NON OF THE ROOM S HAVE MICROWAVES, .HOWEVER,. ALL VIP (OFF LIMITS) SUITES HAVE MICROWAVES, WORKING FRIDGE, AND WORKING ICE MACHINES ON ALL FLOORS!!! THIS WAS THE WORSE HOTEL / PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED!!!

Great casino. They'll make you feel at home. Foods great. The diner is my favorite. Barbq..ice cream.. coffee..

Great place to relax get something to eat, see the lights and play the machines. I got there late around 2:00 AM IT was quite my machine was hitting all while I played small winnings but consistently. Was a lucky night. Restaurants and sign up front desk was closed. Lots more to explore get there early to experience the special areas and bargains.

This casino and hotel was really nice the staff was very helpful and attentive to your needs. The buffet was awesome 👏 I had so much to eat. The food was great and the buffet had a great assortment of different foods to eat. The casino was very well lit and the slots were paying off. I will be back in April.

Check-in was slow and stood for 10 minutes waiting. Rooms were advertised for $45.00 but we were charged $95.00. Told the cheap rooms go fast and they only have a few. Room was small but comfortable. Stains on bed linens and smelled of smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. Food was good but pricey, slots were very tight. Stayed one night and moved to Hollywood.

It has gone down hill in recent years. It is so hot in the hallways that it is hard to breathe. The air conditioner doesn't get cold enough in the rooms. The hotel needs to be renovated. The pool area is nice.

After booking rooms but prior to arriving at this hotel, I read these reviews. I have to say I was legitimately scared about staying at this hotel after reading the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a great experience. The rooms were clean. The air conditioner could have worked a little better but hey its Mississippi and it wasn't to the point where I was uncomfortable. The food was good for the price. AND the staff was courteous and helpful. Also, I love that it is pet friendly. I think the decor is charming. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The workers did a fine job. The facilities are okay but somewhat dated. I'd give Sam's Town a 3 or maybe even a 4 except for their reservation system. If you want something special like a no-smoking room then you HAVE to get there early. It will NOT be saved for you. The same for rooms with king-size beds. If you have someone sensitive to smoke or too tall for double-beds & you can't get there early then find somewhere else to spend the night.

Every few months we come to Sam's Town. We've been doing it for over 20 years now. I must say that it was much nicer 20 years ago. I know that the last flood really took its tough but that's been years ago now and I've been patient. Come on ST step up your game or lose loyal customers For Good!

My husband and I stayed in a suite for my birthday and had the most wonderful time! We had so much fun eating and gambling and even got our money back plus a little extra! The staff was friendly and the waitresses in the actual casino were very sweet and always made sure we were taken care of. This is my absolute favorite casino in tunica and I hate to see all the negative reviews. I recommend everyone give it a chance because it is very possible to have an amazing experience!

I've never been to a casino until this weekend. A friend had comps & invited me so my stay was free one night. Got to the room put drinks in frig, turned it all the way down around 3pm. The room was hot. Turned ac to 60. There were only 2 wash rags in the room. We went to gamble, see other casinos & had dinner. Came back to the room & it was hot. The AC ran nonstop. I sweat all night and the next morning found out the shower didn't work. Had to put down a towel & bathe on my knees. I won't be back there. Too many other nicer choices. When we checked my friend nicely told the lady at the cashier and she could have cared less.

Dealers at the table games are friendly and housekeeping was very friendly but the beds are not comfortable and the casino is very run down and outdated. Buffet was very small. Looks big and maybe once was but it's not now. Not much action going on. Carpet is worn and the pool area is so run down and has mosquito issues. Hot tub was not hot. Casino looks like it hasn't has renovations in 15 years. Very dull and boring.

I am actually here now in the middle of a 3 day stay. I'm giving the one star only to cover the fact that the room is decent for the price and the waitress at the buffet this morning was awesome. Outside of that, this has been the worst experience I've ever had on a customer relations level. The ladies at the front desk when we checked in were talking to myself, as well as the other guests, like we were disobedient children. It was like they were upset about being at work. We ordered room service last night and the lady was everything opposite of professional and pleasant over the phone. When she delivered our food, I asked if the gratuity had already been charged to my card. Obviously I was asking this because I wanted to make sure she was tipped. She immediately went into attack mode saying they always charge it and it's not optional. Once I clarified my intentions, she calmed down and walked away. I was stunned. Then the 3rd strike occured this morning. We went to the front desk of the casino to sign up for our reward cards. The lady at the desk kicked off our interaction by making fun of me for not knowing to hand her my ID. Mind you, she said absolutely nothing prior to this. She continued our transaction by speaking to us as if we were supposed to be mind readers. She asked me to enter a 4 digit pin number for my card. I entered the 4 digits of the year I was born. AFTER I do this, she replies "what if I told you that you can't use your birth year?" very condescendingly. I then replied, "well it would have been nice to give that disclaimer prior to having me enter anything.". She then completed the transaction without saying another single word to me. That was the last straw. Look, I'm not "that guy" who gets on these forums to complain about every business I visit. In fact, this is the first review I've ever done in my life. I'm just so displeased with our treatment here that I absolutely had to make my experience known in a public forum. This is my first and last visit at this establishment. Going forward, I will just spend the extra money to fly to Vegas. At least I know I'll experience simple respect and professionalism there. Thanks for nothing.

Called in advance about bed size in the double rooms I was told they were Queen but ended up being full size and when I address it to the front desk clerk she got an attitude saying “we don’t have any Queen beds here at all and you prob called a reservation place instead of us directly!” And that may be true but she could have apologized for the mix up and at least been polite and not disrespectful! Also our room was like a sauna so hot in there we couldn’t breath, luckily we spent most of our time in the casinos and I brought a fan that I use a night. When I notified the desk clerk about the air she asked me if I’d called maintence about it. I told her no but idc like to let them know and then I never heard anything else about it and the air was still broken when we left. No complaints on the casino except they make first time guest play 200 points getting any free play. Buffet was tasty and lots of food choices but way overpriced!

Upon entering hotel it was clean with dim lighting for old time effects. Line moves quickly and bellhop was very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were fairly comfortable. My issue started with the extra towels they promptly brought us when requested. Stained stiff dirty looking but out of the seven we had we managed to get four clean ones. Then morning came and while I was in the shower I heard the door open to our room. Housekeeping just walked right in! No knock no hesitation before entering at all. She told my cousin whom was awake that they told her we already checked out. Ok accidents happen so I go out to my car about a hour later and when I get back first thing my grandson said was “I’m scared they did it again” This time I reported it and was not invaded again until we could get our things out.When I checked out they asked me if everything was good which I told her except for housekeeping and was totally blown off. No response no nothing so we left.
