The new Hard Rock in Atlantic City is great! There are plenty of restaurants, nightlife, and entertainment. Besides shows and concerts, the lobby bar lounge and hard rock cafe also have live music. The entire place is stunningly beautiful and there's great pieces of memorabilia all around. The location is great if you have kids, as the steel pier is right across the boardwalk.

Stayed there to enjoy a morning at the pool. No where on their site did it say the pool was not yet opened. So disappointed. They said they were sorry. Parking garage is a trip. They have garages on different sides of the casino and get this they are colored coded the same. So good luck with that. Nice room.

I have a Rock Royalty Wild Card which I received on opening day. That came with 2 tickets to see Howie Mandel. I love Howie Mandel and was very excited to go see his show. I received notification via e-mail for the showing yesterday for the showing of 7/2 and 7/3/18. I went on vacation yesterday out of State, so I cannot go to the shows this week, or in one or two days assigned. So, I called the Casino and spoke to a girl there. She was not helpful, non caring about my situation stated those were the days assigned and she could not change them. I explained that I really wanted to see the show, if he was going to have more shows later on could they give me a different day. She was very stern in stating no, no, no, to everything. I thought that as a Rock Royalty I would have a better service from the Casino, but I guess that was not the case and for now I will stay going to the Golden Nugget which I am a Chairman Card holder and they treat me with respect and are more loyal and flexible with their guests like me. If your service doesn't improve for your other guests holding Rock Royalty cards and above your stay open in AC might go under do to poor service. I have seen many here close for the same reason, poor guest service, if we don't go, you will have to go.

I have been going to Carrie Underwoods concerts since she won American Idol. I was so upset with this crowd. The people in the first row, right in front of us, were talking LOUDLY during her performance, at one point 4 of them stood and had a loud debate about something. The group right behind us was pretty much doing the same thing. This was a big distraction. It was also disrespectful to Carrie. Too much distraction. I was tempted to say something but afraid I would get assaulted by one of them. They acted like they were at some sports event. Why would someone buy first row seats and act like that. I have never experienced that at any of her other concerts. Security was close by but never said a word. We were in the second row right in front of the stage. Best seats I ever had. Her performance was outstanding. She never disappoints. She sang her heart out. She just gets better and better. Carrie had to deal with her costumes missing but it didn't affect her performance. She had to find an outfit in AC to wear on stage. My heart went out to her. She's the best. I can't wait for her next concert. I doubt I will ever see another show at Hard Rock.

Terrific renovation! Absolutely First Class Casino with helpful staff. I'm glad Trump's Dump is gone. The Hard Rock really got it right- from the modern architecture to the latest in high tech video walls. The casino is packed with the latest slots and the tables are fully staffed. The self park garage is now using the full structure so there are many more spaces. The walkway link to the Showboat has been reopened. A bit more finishing and everything will be open! (Review is for the Previous Taj Mahal Hotel) Rooms are fine except for the room Windows which are filthy on the outside. The hotel is in need of maintenance. Ice machine on level 39 is broken and seems to have been broken for a while now. Elevators are dirty. Employees are very nice. Location is excellent for family's looking to visit the steel pier

What’s going on with all of the 5 star reviews in recent months, often conflicting with each other (some saying they had a great time there, what other saying it isn’t even open yet as Hard Rock)? Guess people are getting paid one way or another to pump up the $h!t hole that was the former Trump Taj Mahal?

UPDATED MAY 2018: This former Atlantic City icon, the Trump Taj Mahal, has been massively/completely renovated, especially the decor: Indian elephants have been replaced by giant guitars. On June 28, 2018, a casino of 2400 slot machines and 130 table games is expected to open, along with a hotel of approximately 2000 rooms, several restaurants, retail shops, other hotel amenities including a full-service spa (which they will call a "Rock Spa" 😂🎸 ), two arena-type entertainment venues (seating appropriately 7000), and of course a 400 seat Hard Rock Cafe. My current 5 star rating here is based solely on the sheer excitement I'm seeing in this city where I've worked for almost 30 years (I'm happily employed at one of the Caesars properties and we're ready for the competition 😂). ANOTHER huge casino resort here in A.C. is also putting on their final touches, and has amazingly set an opening date for the very same day as Hard Rock: the Ocean Resort Casino (in the building of the Revel property which opened and closed in the early part of this decade. This summer should be an interesting time as Atlantic City makes its apparent comeback.

Not open to public yet ! Looks like its going to be great, I'm currently working on this project with BFC doing the marble and tile in different areas. This will be the go to spot.

This place is great in Florida.. Hope they will keep it up here in AC. Played down in Florida and loved it

Update: As of 2016, Permanently Closed. I can only comment on the casino and public areas, not the hotel. Basically what I saw was an opulent place in need of repairs and remodeling. The cleanliness and food/beverage service is usually OK, but has not been great since the labor strike. (Trump's buddy Carl Icahn somehow managed to break the contract and take away the employees' health insurance retirement benefits.) That said, I suspect some disgruntled employees have tried to falsely report here that the place is permanently closed. Not so fast: They have been given notice that the closing date is October 10, 2016. But I think a last-minute deal is still possible. Things will continue as is until after Labor (how ironic) Day weekend before things may start winding down. There are a lot of nice businesses as tenants in there, so let's cross our fingers and hope the Taj continues.

Never stayed here. We visited on a trip and did some gambling. The gambling areas were full of people having fun.. and we ourselves enjoyed playing. Was a nice building... too bad it's closed.

called on fri 2/19 in the am to see if i could get a free room. no problem reserved in minutes.( i havn't gone to taj for awhile it was sorta getting run down n dirty instead been going to Ceasars bally etc) Room was awesome, very clean, also was given two tickets to a Kansas concert ,casino is now very clean staff very nice just stayed one night but had sooooo much fun plenty of places to eat I never even left the building till we left

We stayed in Chairman's Tower in room 8512 a beautiful view of the Jersey shore. Our room as spacious,wonderful big bathroom. The dinning options are plentiful and we won some money which covered our expenses. We will go back...

Enjoyed my stay, had the grand suite. Room was huge!! Very clean, bed was comfortable. I was skeptical at first because of some of the reviews but honestly the casino had the smell of cigarettes lingering in the air but it wasn't as strong as people described it in the reviews I seen. I did like that there were many dining options yet the restaurants were closed at 11pm only thing opened was the cafe on the CF floor. I was with my boyfriend during my stay and we are already looking into going again, I would say sign up for the trump one card to get valet parking for just $5 instead of paying $20 and enjoy some of the benefits too. Overall I would say the trump was worth it I booked my grand suite on Expedia so I didn't pay much which was a plus my only complaint was that the jacuzzi in my suite didn't operate well so it was like sitting in a tub filled with water.

New Towers are upgraded and comfortably designed for your overnight stay. Queen double bed and dining table do the job, separate ?? bathroom is a plus but shampoo and conditioner and body wash liquid reminds you gym showers. Casino for gamblers has upgraded games such as Walking ?? Dead, MJ, Wheel of Fortune all they have big screens and boosted with surrounded sound ??. Spice Road is limited with a few restaurants ; sbarro, starbucks, Burger, plate, submarine sandwiches, and panda express. Each has unique taste for the guests. Boardwalk is right up front with kids entertainment including crazy mouse ride and hot dog sellers. Shopping lovers may or not find less options when it comes to brands, cannot be comparable with pier shops. Value for the rooms acceptable and upgraded price lovely if you dare.

The Taj is still one of the better hotels in Atlantic City, if you're lucky to get an upgrade to the Chairman's Tower. The room was spotless, the bathroom huge, and check in effortless. Check out is at noon, giving you an extra hour to sleep. There is a $15 resort fee that I am not sure what it pays for. There is a decent sized pool, but access to the steam room and hot tub cost extra. Be sure to sign up for the casino card before parking if possible, as even the basic tier gets discounted parking. Now, with the Showboat and Revel closed, the Taj is the northernmost hotel on the boardwalk. The center of the boardwalk, the boardwalk hall, is a nice 15 minute walk away. Or take the $2 boardwalk tram. The hotel itself has a good variety of shops and restaurants, though due to a labor dispute, some venues (like the buffet) are temporarily closed as of December 2015. Note that Trump does not own the hotel any more, so you can stay here regardless of what you think of him.
