Frequently Asked Questions

How it works?

At URComped we help you get the best possible offers from various casinos and cruise lines. To unlock new comp offers, all you need to do is:

1
Create a free URComped account
2
Upload pictures of valid casino offers, which will be verified by the URComped team
Once your uploaded offers are verified, the new available casino offers will show up under the "My Offers" tab in your new account. When you book your first URComped trip, your URComped player profile and verified offers will be used to prove you meet the qualifications of the comp requested. After your first trip, all future comp offers will be based on a rolling average of your play on URComped trips.

For cruise and Caribbean casino requests, you'll be assigned a URComped Executive host to help with your bookings.

For some land-based casinos, you'll be connected directly with an on-property casino host through what we call Direct Connect

URComped will help you unlock a new world of casino travel at the top cruise lines and casino resorts in the world. Get started today!

What level of player do I need to be to sign up for URComped?

URComped welcomes players of all levels to sign up, but those who qualify for the most offers typically have elevated tier status in one or more casino loyalty programs and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Receive offers from land-based casinos with complimentary room nights and free play of at least $100
  • Have received complimentary cruise certificates from a cruise line or land-based casino certificate event
  • Have a casino host assigned to you at one or more properties.

However, even if you don’t meet these criteria, you can still receive 'Flash COMP' offers and exclusive casino rate discounts at URComped's casino and cruise partners.

Why can't I just call the casino/cruiseline directly?

URComped has a strong relationship with our casino partners and cruise lines. We continually negotiate the best exclusive offers for you, making it easy for you to access them. This way, your host can leverage your play history and current offers at land-based casinos or other cruise lines to unlock these new comps for you.

How do you know who your URComped host is?

When you sign up for URComped, you're immediately assigned a host, though you usually won't interact with them until you request a trip.

You can view who your host is under My Profile> Meet My Host

Once you request or claim an offer, it will be sent to your host, who will then reach out to you to gather the necessary information to book your trip. If you have any questions now, you can reply to any of the weekly emails from URComped, and your response will be automatically forwarded to your host. You can also text your host at 972-788-1785 or email them at host@ib.urcomped.com.

What if I don't have offers to upload to URComped?

URComped can book you at a discounted rate known as a casino rate if you’re a new player or if you don’t receive offers and can’t prove your player status from casinos. This rate is available for certain group events or meetup cruises and can help you establish your play and prove yourself. While this offer isn’t available on every cruise, it’s occasionally offered for larger meetups, events, or specific promotions. Alternatively, having a host or providing a win/loss statement from a casino may also help you receive offers from casinos.

How does URComped verify my level of casino play?

We verify your play level through a series of questions you answer during signup and onboarding about where you play, bankroll, average bet, along with the offers you upload from current casinos. When you are ready to take a trip, we then present this information  to our casino partners

What is a Direct Connect Trip Request

The Direct Connect offers and trip requests let you connect directly with casino hosts at specific casinos. Just keep in mind that you won’t be working with your usual URComped Executive Host, so your experience may vary depending on the property you’re connecting with.

What is a House Customer?

URComped has contracts with our cruise line partners to help bring them new players like you. A new player is someone who has never been on a specific cruise line or has never gambled on that cruise line before. An inactive player is someone who has sailed on a cruise line but hasn’t sailed with them in a certain period of time (typically 12–24 months).

As a new or inactive player, you can be introduced, or reintroduced to a cruise line through URComped. Once you book a cruise through URComped, you’ll always be coded to URComped with that cruise line, even if you later book directly with the cruise line instead of through us.

If you’re an active player or house customer, meaning you’ve sailed on a cruise line in the last 12 months (timeframe varies by cruise line). URComped can’t book you, because you’re not considered new to our cruise line partner. The cruise line already has a direct relationship with you.

If you’re active, you’ll need to keep booking directly with the cruise line until that time period passes. But as long as we’re the ones to introduce, or reintroduce you after enough time, we can keep booking you on that cruise line. And if you want to try a new cruise line, we have plenty of options to get you sailing!

Open
What is bankroll or what length is my anticipated bankroll for?

Your bankroll is your planned gambling budget, the amount you typically spend in the casino during your trip. URComped’s cruise line and casino partners use this information to decide what kind of comp offer can be approved for you.

The bankroll you list in your account should cover the length of the trip you’re planning or requesting, so it’s important to state it as accurately as possible. Your bankroll, along with any offers you upload, helps casino partners understand what level of player you are and sets the right expectations.

If your bankroll changes, be sure to let your host know so you can get the best deal possible!

What is URComped Relay?

URComped Relay is a service that keeps your email address private while still making sure you get every offer and message from URComped’s cruise and casino partners.

URComped gives partners a unique anonymous email address that automatically forwards all emails and offers straight to you.

If you ever want to change the email address you have registered with a cruise or casino partner, you can do that anytime by contacting the partner directly.
Plus, with URComped Relay, it’s easier than ever to book your offers, you can simply reply to any URComped Relay email to reach your URComped host and start the booking process!

How are offers determined? What is ADT?

Two of the most common metrics casinos use to generate offers for you are ADT (Average Daily Theoretical) and ATT (Average Trip Theoretical). “Theoretical” is a calculation casinos use to figure out your value as a player, basically what the casino should have theoretically won from you, based on how much you’ve gambled. The formula is: your average bet × the house advantage or house edge of the specific game you’re playing × the time you spent playing or the number of hands dealt.

So even if you win big or lose big, it doesn’t change your theoretical value.

ADT is your average theoretical per day, which casinos use to evaluate your daily play. Most of your land-based casino offers are based on this number.

ATT is your average theoretical per trip, which casinos use to evaluate your total trip play. Most cruise casino offers come from this number.

But what if you go to the casino and lose $10K in just one hour — so your theoretical is low because you didn’t play long? In those cases, casinos sometimes look at your actual value instead of your theoretical. These metrics are called ADA (Average Daily Actual) or ADW (Average Daily Worth), and ATA (Average Trip Actual) or ATW (Average Trip Worth). “Actual” is simply what the casino actually won from you, your real loss.

Don’t worry! URComped also takes your actual loss (or “actual”) into account when working on offers for you.

What is a URComped Meetup?

Meetups are a great way for you to take your casino experience to a whole new level! Each Meetup cruise or casino event is hosted by a member of the URComped team. On the first evening of your trip, you’ll get to enjoy a welcome reception where you can meet your URComped host and other URComped members over cocktail drinks and light refreshments. One of the perks of booking a Meetup event is that during the welcome reception, you’ll receive exclusive URComped swag that’s only given out at these special events!

You’ll also be invited to join special casino events and promotions created just for your Meetup group. This could include tournaments, hot seats, or slot pulls! Some Meetup events might even include an optional group excursion or outing, depending on what the group is interested in. It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow URComped members outside of the casino and make lifelong friends along the way!

At the end of your trip, you’ll wrap things up with a farewell party with your new friends, and head home with great memories and your lucky URComped swag!

Does URComped always link a player's account to their spouses?

No, this is completely optional! URComped doesn’t require you to link accounts between guests. After your first trip, you’ll have the option to link your account with your guest if you choose. You should only link your account with someone who always travels with you.
If you do want to link accounts, just let your URComped host know, and all your offers going forward will be based on your combined play!

Receiving Offers From URComped
What's a Play-To-Qualify offer?

Play-To-Qualify is a type of offer that casinos can make to players. These offers are SUPER discounted hotel rates (cheaper than Expedia!) and include a target play threshold that allows players to have their trips comped. If a player hits the threshold the cost of the trip is refunded at checkout. If the threshold is not met, the player still gets an amazing deal on the hotel room! Play to Qualify offers are a perfect way for new players to establish their value and earn even BETTER comps on future trips at any of our partner casinos.

Open
Can URComped help me get better offers at casinos I actively play at?

If you are an active player at a particular property - meaning you have played at that casino in the last 12 months - then the casino already knows how much you play and what they want to offer you.

Open
How long does it take to receive offers once I sign up?

Once you’ve completed your profile and uploaded pictures of your current offers, we’ll verify and approve them within 1–2 business days. Then, when you log in to URComped.com, you’ll see new offers based on the information you submitted and the offers you uploaded.
You can always view your current offers under My Offers.

Open
What offers could I get through URComped after giving them my gaming information?

The Comp Calculator  is a tool that helps you estimate your comps based on the games you play. By using it, you can get an idea of the offers you might qualify for after you complete your player profile.

Open
Do we upload new offers every time we get them from the casino?

Whether or not you need to upload new offers depends on a few factors. If you’ve sailed with URComped recently, you don’t need to upload new offers. However, it might help to upload new offers if it’s been a while since you sailed with us and the cruise line or casino needs more recent play data. If you’ve recently sailed with URComped, your future offers will be based on your play with us, so you won’t need to keep uploading new offers.

If you haven’t sailed with URComped yet and have uploaded verified offers, you don’t need to upload new ones unless there’s a significant change, like getting an invite to a cruise certificate event or receiving a higher value offer.

Open
What offers can I expect from URComped if I already get comp cruises?

URComped lets you access offers comparable to your current ones while trying out new cruise lines. We create a marketplace where you can get great offers from different cruise lines instead of sticking to the same ones you’re used to. Before you take your first URComped trip, your offers are based on the offers you upload to URComped. After that first trip, your future offers are based on your actual play during that trip.

Open
When will my URComped offers update after I've taken my first URComped trip?

URComped receives a report from the cruise lines about two weeks after the end of each month, and we use that to update your offers on the URComped site. If you receive a certificate onboard your cruise, you can book it right away - even before we get the report.
If you need to book something urgently before the end of the month, we can also arrange a one-off booking with the cruise partner, since they already have your play data in their system.

Why do I need to upload pictures of my offers?

We use current, valid casino offers you already receive to qualify you as a player and unlock new offers for you with different casinos and cruise lines.
You just tell us who sent you the offer and upload a picture of it on the Upload Your Offers page. We’ll verify the image within a couple of business days, and that will unlock all the offers you now qualify for.

General
How far out can I schedule my trip?

For cruises far in advance, cruise lines typically extend comps about 12–14 months out at most, except for meet-up cruises. Casinos don’t usually offer sailings that far ahead because your financial situation could change over several months, which might affect your play in the casino. Luckily, URComped has built a reputation over time that allows many casinos to extend the usual 3–6 month booking window to as far as 12–14 months for you.

For short-notice cruises: if it’s your first trip with URComped, we recommend booking at least 30 days in advance for land-based trips or 90 days in advance for cruises. If you’ve already taken a trip with URComped, you might be able to book as late as a week before your trip, depending on the casino or cruise line’s availability.

Open
Does URComped offer international or overseas cruises?

Yes! URComped offers several international and overseas cruises for you. These cruises usually have fewer blocked casino cabins because they don’t run as often and tend to fill up quickly. If you see an international sailing you like, let your URComped host know and book it as soon as possible!

Open
Does URComped work with Land Based Casinos?

URComped’s primary focus is on cruise lines, but we also partner with several land-based casinos and sometimes offer special promotions or events with them. You can use the "US Resorts" filter on your "My Offers" page to see these.

Some land-based offers require actual play data, before we are able to book you. If this is your first trip, you may need to connect your URComped host with your personal on-property host who can verify your play.

If you’d like to know whether URComped works with a specific land-based casino, just ask your URComped host anytime!

Open
Why have my cruise offers seem to have gone down recently?

As demand for cruising increases, so will prices. Because of this, the criteria for different comp categories will adjust as well. This isn’t a penalty to you as the player or to URComped, it’s simply a decision by the cruise lines to have their casino department cover more of the increased cabin costs.

Do I need to send my Win/Loss statement to URComped?

If you haven’t used URComped before, providing Win/Loss statements and tier status updates can help, but the best thing you can do is send us your most current and strongest offers. Once you’ve taken a trip with URComped, your future offers will be based on your actual play from that trip, so you won’t need to send updated offers unless we ask in rare cases.

Open
Do cruise lines give free drinks to casino players?

If your first trip booked through URComped is fully comped, you’ll usually get free drinks in the casino. Every cruise line handles this a bit differently, so it’s best to double-check with your host about your specific sailing. In some cases, like if it’s a discounted cruise we booked for you or a particular type of casino offer, comp drinks might not be included in the casino.

Open
What if you don't spend what your bankroll is?

If you don’t play the expected bankroll during a cruise booked through URComped, your future offers may be reduced or even eliminated. Some land-based casinos might even reverse the comp and ask you to pay for your room if you don’t meet the agreed bankroll. URComped is always transparent about these expectations and will clearly let you know upfront if there’s any chance the comp could be reversed before you book.

Can I cancel a trip?

Yes, every cruise and casino partner has its own cancellation policy, so we recommend checking first with your host to determine if there are any penalties. Keep in mind, more often than not, it’s best to transfer to another sailing or change your dates than to fully cancel your reservation.

Can casinos report a trip to URComped that URComped didn't book?

It depends! If you didn’t book a trip through URComped, it may still be possible to have the casino report your trip, depending on your relationship with your casino host. URComped can contact your host to try to get your past play information to use for future offers. However, if your host isn’t willing to share that information, it might be difficult for us to get it.

Open
What is an easy way to find an international cruise on URComped.com?

URComped offers you a Cruise Search Tool, which you can access by clicking on the "Tools" tab when you’re logged in. From there, you can filter your search by departure port and choose between international or domestic sailings. Keep in mind that some transatlantic or repositioning cruises might still depart from domestic ports like Miami!

Open
Which cruise ships are kid-friendly?

The ship’s atmosphere can vary depending on the season you’re sailing. For example, cruises during the summer or holiday breaks like Spring Break and Christmas usually have more families with kids compared to a random sailing in October.
Other than Virgin Voyages, which is adults-only, all of our cruise partners offer kids’ programs, activities, and clubs. Based on our team’s personal experience, you’ll generally find more kids and kid-focused activities on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and MSC than on Celebrity, and NCL.

Open
Can I join a craps cruise if I do not play craps?

Of course, the theme of the Craps Cruise is craps — but there will still be plenty of other slot and table game players onboard. You don’t need to worry about taking cabins away from craps players; more cabins are reserved than needed. Plus, there will be slot tournaments and group slot pulls during the cruise. It’s a fun experience all around!

I Earned a Cruise Offer from a Land Based Casino- Do I Have to Book it Direct?

If you earn a certificate for a cruise at a land-based casino, just reach out to your URComped host and let them know which sailing on the certificate you’d like to book. Nine times out of ten, your URComped host can book the same offer for you, or even get you a better one! If they can’t match what’s on the certificate, they’ll let you know so you can book that offer directly instead.
You can call or text 972-788-1785 or email host@ib.urcomped.com to get started.

Open
Can I book my cruise certificate through URComped?

If you earned that certificate while onboard a cruise that URComped booked for you, then YES! We’d love to help you book it. Just message your host, share the certificate number, and let them know which sailing you’d like. Keep in mind that certificates aren’t transferable, so you can’t give them to someone else.

Each certificate also has a cash value, so if there’s a sailing you want that isn’t listed on your certificate, your URComped host can apply that cash value toward the new sailing and use your actual play data from previous trips to see what comp level you qualify for.
And that’s not all! URComped is always adding new, pre-negotiated offers with that cruise line to your “My Offers” page, so you can claim them anytime you’d like!

Open
Can two Members of the Same Household Book two Certificates on the Same Cruise?

The policy allows you to book two different cabins, but each household member must actually stay in the separate cabin that their certificate covers. If the ship finds out you’re not staying in your assigned cabins, they could reverse the comp on the unused cabin — even though this policy can be hard to enforce.

Open
Will URComped automatically try to upgrade my onboard cruise certificate?

URComped will always try to get you a better deal, and the cruise line is required to honor what’s on your certificate at the very least. If the price of the sailing you want goes up, it might limit the cabin categories you can book. But if the price goes down, we could use that to get you an even higher cabin category!

Open
How do trade-in value cruise certificates work?

Many cruise certificates give you either a specific cabin type or a dollar amount you can use instead. On the back of your certificate, you’ll usually find a list of about 20–40 sailings where you can use it for that specific cabin category.

If you want to pick a sailing that isn’t listed on the certificate, the cruise line will simply deduct the dollar amount of your certificate from the price of the sailing you choose.

Open
General
Can URComped book me if I've already sailed with that cruise line before?

URComped has contracts with our cruise line partners to help bring them NEW players like you.

A new player is someone who has never been on a specific cruise line — or at least has never gambled on that cruise line before.

An inactive player is someone who has sailed on a cruise line but hasn’t sailed with them in a certain period of time (typically 12–24 months).

As a new or inactive player, you can be introduced or reintroduced to a cruise line through URComped. Once you book a cruise through us, you’ll always be coded to URComped when booking with that cruise line, even if you book directly later on.

An active player or house customer is someone who has sailed on a cruise line in the last 12-24 months (the exact period depends on the cruise line). URComped can’t book you if you’re an active player or house customer, because the cruise line already has a direct relationship with you.

If you’re active, you’ll need to keep booking directly with the cruise line until the 12-month window passes. So really, being “active” just refers to how you’re booking.

As long as we introduce you, or reintroduce you after some time, we can keep booking you with that cruise line. And if you’d like to try a new cruise line, we have lots of great options we can help you get on!

Open
Can URComped book me on sailings that aren't on the website?

If you’ve sailed with URComped before, you can talk to your host to book something that isn’t promoted on our website. However, if it’s your first time, you’ll need to book one of the promoted offers first.
Once you’ve been pre-qualified, you’ll have lots of sailings to choose from, and after your first trip, you can book other sailings not listed on the site by reaching out to your host directly. It’s always a good idea to chat with your host when you’re planning your next sailing!

Open
Can you choose your own cabin, or are they assigned?

Yes, you can choose your cabin based on what’s available. Just make sure the cabin you pick is in the same category you are comped for.

Open
Can I book a cabin for my family or just casino players?

You can book non-gamblers through URComped, including children. However, cruise lines will typically not comp minors unless there is a special promotion which allows it. If you’re a single adult traveling with a child, your fare can be comped but your child’s fare will not be. If you’re traveling with two adults and one child, the two adults can be comped but the minor’s cruise will be full price.
When you add extra guests to a comped cabin (double occupancy), the price might go up significantly because larger cabins, also called “quad” cabins, are limited in number and usually cost more.

Open
How long will it take for a host to get back to me?

At URComped, we value A.C.T.S., which stands for Access, Convenience, Trust/ Transparency, and Speed/ Special Service. We do our best to respond to you as quickly as possible, usually within 1–2 business days.

During busy times, responses might take a bit longer, but most players find our team to be very responsive. Also, keep in mind that when your cruise line takes longer to reply to your host, it can affect how quickly your host can get back to you with updates.

If you’re a new member, you might experience some delays while the cruise line reviews and approves your comp, since we need to send them additional information about you for that first trip.

Open
Is it better to book through URComped or direct through a cruise line for a Non Comped Cruise?

If you don’t have any history with cruise line casinos, it’s better for you to book your first trip through URComped if you plan to gamble onboard. We can use your uploaded offers and bankroll to leverage comps or discount offers for you on that first sailing.

We recommend that you start with us, not just because of our amazing team, but so we can help build up your player profile. Then on your next cruise, you’ll qualify for even better offers based on your casino play.

Open
Cruise Capacity for Casino VIPS

Cruise lines limit the number of comp players they allow on each sailing because it wouldn’t be a good experience for you if the casino was too crowded, all the tables were full, and you couldn’t find an open slot machine. So even if the ship itself isn’t sold out, there might not be any more spots left for comp players.
This is especially true for sailings offered on certificates or direct mail offers, since they tend to reach casino capacity faster. That’s why, when you see a great offer, it’s best to book it quickly!

Open
How many cruises can you have booked with URComped at one time?

If it’s your first URComped sailing, the general rule is that you can only have one cruise booked at a time. The cruise lines want to see your real play data before they let you book multiple cruises.
After you complete your first sailing and show that you play at the expected level, you can usually have more than one sailing booked. The number of trips you can have booked often depends on the cruise line, since some partners set limits.

Open
Does URComped have a penalty for canceling or changing your cruise?

Many of our partners have flexible cancellation policies. If your booking requires a deposit, that will not be refunded if your trip is cancelled. However it can be transferred to another sail date. Always check with your host. If you repeatedly cancel bookings, you may be asked to put down a deposit on additional bookings as outlined in the terms of service. This usually does not happen often.

Open
Does URComped have a different number for International (non-U.S.) Players to Call?

Yes, It's 1-855-526-6733. Feel free to send us an email as well at host@ib.urcomped.com.

Solo Travel
Can I travel solo on a comped cruise? Do I pay double to do so?

URComped’s cruise offers are for double occupancy cabin categories, so if you qualify for a comp cabin and you are traveling solo, there is no surcharge. You would still need to pay the full port fees and taxes for the double occupancy cabin since these are required to secure it.
If you think you might add a guest later, it is recommended to include a name for the second guest when you book in case the ship reaches its mandated limit. If you plan to bring another adult guest later on, you can choose anyone and swap the name before you sail.

Casino Play
How do shorter or longer cruises affect your rate of play?

There are two measures used to calculate your offers. One is Average Daily Theoretical, also called ADT. The other is Average Trip Theoretical, or ATT. URComped will use whichever number is higher to get you the best possible offer.

Your average daily play, or ADT, should stay consistent or even be higher on a shorter cruise. On a longer trip, your average trip play, or ATT, should be higher. The rate of play itself should not change just because you take shorter or longer cruises, as long as you keep your play consistent.

You can learn more about ADT and how your offers are calculated here: https://urcomped.com/home/question/300/how-are-offers-determined-what-is-adt/

Open
Will my casino play with one cruise line affect my offers from another cruise line?

It depends. URComped separates your offers based on each partner or cruise line. Offers with a specific cruise line are based on your past play with that particular line, while other offers are based on your overall average play.
Sister companies like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity also treat your play separately, so this is not an exception.

Will bad play in one cruise line's casino put booked trips at risk?

Potentially. In general, not playing on a trip can affect your future offers because URComped bases your offers on a rolling average of your play. One trip with low or no play can bring your average down, but it really depends on the situation. The more good trips you have, the less impact one bad trip will have.
If you do not play on a trip that has already been comped, it can raise concerns for the casino and they might reevaluate your future comps.
There is no strict policy on this, but not playing on a trip that was comped based on your expected play could definitely affect your future URComped offers.

How does URComped rate players based on just their uploaded offers?

When you upload an offer, URComped does not receive your actual play data from past trips. Instead, we use your uploaded offer to see what kind of player the casino or cruise line believes you are. Then we provide an appropriate comp based on that information along with your gaming details like bankroll, average bet, and other relevant information.

To get a comped cruise for 2, do we have to have offers for both people?

No, you only need to upload offers from one person to get a comped cruise. However, having offers from both you and your guest can help unlock better comps or bigger discounts. Usually for your first trip, your comp will be based on whoever appears to be the bigger player's offers.
After your first trip, URComped will look at your combined play with your guest when you claim future offers and will share tips to help you get even better comps next time.
If you want your offers to be based on your combined play, you can link your URComped accounts by messaging your host.

What table games give you the best comps?

Some table games generate better comps than others based on your time played and average bet. Games like roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, three card poker, and other carnival games usually give you better comps compared to other common table games.
On the other hand, games like blackjack, craps, and baccarat do not generate comps as quickly. This difference comes from what is called "theoretical" value. The casino looks at the house edge of the game you play, your average bet, and how long you play or how many hands you get.
Games that are slower or have a smaller house edge will usually generate comps more slowly, while games that are faster or have a higher house edge will earn comps more quickly.
Even if your theoretical play does not generate many comps, you might still have strong "actual" play based on what you actually lose or bet. URComped can negotiate on your behalf to get you the best possible offer by considering both your theoretical and actual play no matter which games you prefer to play.

Do Casinos give better comps to people further away?

If you live outside the country, you do not automatically get better offers on cruise lines since those offers are based on how much you play and your trip theoretical.
However, Las Vegas casinos and other local casinos may give better offers to people who live farther away compared to local players. This is because of a proximity principle: if you live close to the casino, they expect you might visit anyway, but if you live farther away, they may need to give you a sweeter offer to convince you to come.
So if you live farther from a land based casino, you might get a better offer than someone who lives nearby even if you both play at the same level.

Why do I qualify for different cabin categories when the price of the sailings are the same online?

The casino department and the retail department are separate within the cruise industry. Casino rates for sailings are different from retail rates and are not made public.
This is why you might qualify for a comped balcony on one sailing but only an inside cabin on another sailing even if both have similar retail prices. The reason is that casino rates are not the same for every sailing. Sometimes the casino rate is much lower than the retail price, and other times it can be very close to the retail price.
The casino can also create group blocks on certain sailings they want to promote more aggressively to players like you. Thus showing you better offers.

Does playing for a small amount of time on your last day affect your ADT?

Staying in a hotel or taking a break on a cruise will not lower your Average Daily Theoretical (ADT) for casino offers because casinos look at your entire hotel stay or the full length of your cruise. Your daily play is calculated by taking the total theoretical amount for your trip and dividing it by the number of days you stayed or sailed, so it does not matter how you choose to play each day.
However, if you just drop by a land based casino and only play for a short time, it could lower your average play and affect your future casino offers.

How does freeplay / promo chips work in cruise casinos?

If you have earned freeplay or promo chips from a cruise casino, you might wonder how it works.

Freeplay for slot machines is usually either loaded directly to your player's card or given to you as a ticket. When you redeem your freeplay on the machine or insert the ticket, the freeplay amount is added to your cash balance. This does not mean you can cash it out right away you need to play it first. Each time you spin, the machine uses your freeplay and removes it from your balance. If you win, the winnings belong to you and you can eventually cash them out.

he same idea applies to freeplay meant for table games, which often comes as promo chips. Most of the time, promo chips can feel confusing because they work differently from regular chips. Promo chips are single use betting chips so once you use them, whether you win or lose, the dealer takes them. It is similar to slots where the freeplay you use for a spin goes away after that spin, but you still hope to win and turn it into real money.
